That doesn’t address the possible lack of a Plan B.

Like in the I’ll-fated pursuit of Koulibaly, it ended in sufficient time for us then to sign Dias. We’ve known that we would need another striker for long enough, so we’ve now drawn a line through Kane’s name and hopefully have time to arrange an alternative. A Plan B need not be so illustrious, but it should be someone cap of fulfilling the role and not just filling the space, which is what our current options (save Jesus) do.

Oh, I reject that notion out of hand; couldn’t care a jot what others think. I never bought into Kane anyway (nor Ronaldo/Messi etc.), but I’d like to think our Plan B is not status quo.

Why?

I don't feel a fool or that the club is.

We wanted Kane, and persued him over the time frame dictated we offered reasonable bids, they were rejected and told only at this price, we have walked away unwilling to match it.

Shit happens neother club has barrassed thselves and conducted business professionally.

It’s not about the Kane price as £150 million is way too much to pay but it’s the lack of interest in any other striker in this window. We knew that levy is a twat to deal with so there was always a chance that we couldn’t sign Kane so we should have had other options such as messi for a season. We have handled this shit tbh .

Delap. Fuck it, why not?

I hate the rags but they took a chance on Rashford when they had no one else and now he's their best striker, might not say a lot depending on if you rate him but he came in without anyone near as much hype as Delap and he's now a good player.

We don't know what Delap can do till he's given a chance. We will likely just see a Sterling or Torres upfront with Delap in cup games but you never know.
