New striker?

Would not touch Lukaku with a barge pole not the answer in my opinion, there is a difference between banging them in in Serie A and the Prem. Granted he had a good spell at Everton but he couldnt hack it when asked to be the main striker at a top 6 club and i see no reason why that would now have changed.

Has to be Haaland or Martinez for me preferably the former.
I can understand your reluctance to sign him but even at Utd playing out of position sometimes he still did 28 goals in 66 games for them which isn’t half bad . Haaland is my first choice but Signing lukaku wouldn’t be too bad but tbh I think we will sign Nunez from benfica .

Lukaku simply doesn’t fit the profile.

Look around for a young, no drama, goal scorer, who is mobile, can press, doesn’t have ANY “attitude” that could disrupt the dressing room and has an excellent OFF FIELD life.

Find THAT guy and the club will move Heaven and Earth to sign him.
Where do you get the impression he has an attitude? Ive never heard anything about him having an attitude.

Lukaku would be a decent shout imo, we all loved to hate at UTD but he is a top player, biggest downfall is his 1st touch but if he stayed fit he could be exactly what we need, is it all paper bullshit?
Noises are definitely getting louder or maybe Inter are wanting him gone before the transfer fee goes down who knows but we need 1 of our ITK's to get some info even its bullshit would do

Imagine a City team with the best players from Portugal, Belgium, Spain & England ;)

Am I mad for thinking that Danny Ings might be worth us having a punt on?

I rate him.
I don't think it is mad at all. I rate Ings. He is great finisher. On top of that, I think he would be a good player to have in the dressing room. I've not heard of him ever being a trouble maker and is good in the community.

On the upside. If he comes here and smashes it, that is really gonna piss them off. Im all for that !!

I think if Ings was 24 then yes. But he turns 29 this year and with his injury record it isn't worth the risk/cost. He's a great player, a really likeable bloke too and I wish him all the best but he isn't someone the club would invest in.

Lukaku is an odd link as well. I can't see him fitting the club - certainly not Pep's type of player - but you never know.

I personally don't know who the answer is. Haaland's record in Germany is good, but so was Werner's and he's struggled to adapt (although I think he's good enough to eventually). Haaland's record in the CL is hugely encouraging, but I'm always nervous with strikers. So many have had good records for a year or two and then flopped. And I haven't watched enough of Haaland to truly know if he's good enough for us.

I bring sad news ,
Inter Milan and Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, 27, has no interest in joining Manchester City. (Express)

Funny how the media make up a story so later they can then say we were snubbed, by an ex rag of all things. I bet neither City nor Lukaku were even in contact at any stage.

Haaland is the only striker we need to sign.

Yeah, I like the look of Felix, I think he’d suit us more than Haaland.

He’s going to be a superstar and would really suit us. Atleti paid €120m for him though and they would expect to turn a profit. Even Haaland would be easier to sign.
