Just based on the TV so far but am looking forward to getting over there and experiencing it in person.
As for song sheets it's nothing unique or new. I remember them being handed around in my first game in 1993. Their songs and style will evolve over time, so not fussed too much with the content of this one.
Pretty sure too that it's the supporter groups that have come up with the songs, not the club.

MLS support is nothing like German or Italian support.
In fact it is the absolute opposite of German or Italian support which is sort of the point.
And people aren't laughing at this because it's New York, people are laughing at it because a club that has existed for 9 games singing about history and trophies is cringeworthy shite.

As for the use of the word "crud" provoking some mick-taking, I'd suggest that that's because MLS has a rule where fans are kicked out of the stadium if caught swearing, so they can't be seen actively promoting swear words (I don't know how you guys would interpret the word, but it's not considered offensive in the US).
