The team is owned by CFG. As is MCFC. As is Melbourne. As is Yokohama. I can 100% guarantee you that none of the other supporters have pledged their everlasting allegiance to MCFC either just because of an affiliation. Nor have we pledged our allegiance to them because of an affiliation.
Will the clubs work together? Certainly. Both will greatly benefit each other. NYCFC will benefit from young academy players joining our ranks who have been trained by the best. We already see that with Shay. And MCFC benefits by getting their up and coming talent first team minutes setting them up for either a European loan, sale or first team.
But at the end of the day we are both indebted to CFG. Not one another.

Without Man City, CFG is a non-entity and there is no NYC, Melbourne, or investment in Yokohama. In numbers terms, let's call it 90/6/3/1, respectfully. Yes, there will be some symbiosis, but it will be done to improve an INVESTMENT, while serving the lifeblood of the "Project," which is and always will be Man City.

There is a reason the EPL TV deal makes headlines across the globe, and it is because it is the fuel that feeds the machine....and the reason so many (ALL!!) of the top teams in England are owned by ultra-rich foreign owners!

No disrespect meant, and I hope against hope that NYCFC is a very, very successful club. Been trying to get an Adidas Team shirt for a decent price, but even their own website doesn't sell it??? And, I've tried to get the nice blue T-shirt, with the logo on the left breast, but that is only sold with a players name and number on the back and I'm long past hero worship!!!

I hope the entire CFG is a very successful project and proves to be the model of the future, because it will help ALL THE CLUBS in the Group. However, let's not lose sight of who is the dog and who are the tail.....today.

Of course we are both indebted to Sheikh Mansour, however your entire entity, branding, identity and leg up in the world is off the back of us, so you're absolutely indebted to us. Without us there is no CFG, we are the founding member, because we are the brand it is built upon. Sure, you could have ended up as the New York Toffees, or Newcastle York United FC, but you didn't, and to be honest, your brand is better for it.

You were born from us, and we're entitled to the utmost respect for it, not the slagging off, lack of acceptance and poor treatment of our supporters. If you support NYCFC, by default you support a club created off the back of Manchester City and therefore have to relate to it, that is what CFG is. So we come before all other clubs NYCFC supporters supported beforehand, and deserve that elevated status. You lot wouldn't treat your fathers with this lack of respect, so don't treat us that way either.

I want to support NYCFC, as they're an extension of the City brand, but the attitude of your lot and the sheer ungratefulness and lack of acceptance puts me right off. You lot are a City project, you best start coming to terms with it and integrating as part of us.

A bit like how "Harrah´s Entertainment Corporation" decided to brand themselves after the most famous of their about 50 Casinos and became Caesar´s Entertainment Corporation instead..Thing is of course that in the long run Caesar´s Palace became just a small part of CEC despite being the original brand and still their biggest Casino

It's because of comments like this that NYCFC supporters will be more likely to slag us off than support us.
