NZ starting to react to this horrific event.
Vigils are underway in various parts of the country and the Bishop of Wellington (a very nice lady) has apparently been to a nearby mosque for prayers.
Flowers being delivered to cordons around the mosques.
People still in disbelief

The New Zealand PM has been on television and called it exactly that.

Shooter same age and from a rural NSW town just like me. Cant comprehend what happened in his life that would create so much hate. Fucking horrendous.

NZ is a great country. South Island is one of the best places I've ever visited. Terrible for this to happen anywhere but extra shocking to see it there.

Horrible news to wake up to. NZ is just about the last place you’d expect this to happen.

People talk about Islamist terrorism, right-wing terrorism but there’s little difference between the two in essence. It’s visceral hatred of “them”. We never seem to learn.
