Newcastle 1-1 City post match thread

Gets the ball out wide with acres of space to run into, cogs start whirring "what shall I do? Ah yes I will turn back towards my own goal trip up and give them a chance to attack!".

He is useless.

Really think he's just another overhyped English youngster who won't make the grade. Thought he was utter shite once he came on, whether he'd been out for a few weeks or not.

We'll see what Guardiola can get out of him, but I'm not convinced. If Guardiola can't get it out of him, then we've signed a dud and we'll make a huge loss. Hopefully that doesn't happen.

Can't we just fuck him off for the last 6 games. Let's get ruthless for once. Give them something to really whine about. The excuses are pathetic.

There was one moment where he was chasing after the ball, got there first, but then the way he chose to bring the ball under control showed the entire fucking ball to the defender and he just took it off him with ease. He just doesn't understand football at all. No protecting the ball, no manipulation of his body to keep possession. Just heavy touches with no obstacle for the defender to gain possession. He infuriates me with how stupid his play is. Thick as pig shit.
The skills players require to play that role can only be taught to such a level, the rest is mostly natural. You see silva KDB Nasri dribble you can see how natural it comes to them but with Sterling it's just a constant battle between himself and the ball. No idea how he'll suddenly become a top player but let's hope he does.

I think five of them players who started tonight won't be here next season. Passing was unbelievably bad, pep will have nightmares tonight.

Genius manager, got to hand it to him. Winning tonight would put all the pressure on United and it also would of meant we could of rested a few on Saturday. Brain dead.
You must always try to play your best team because the premier league is our bread and butter . He didnt. Having one eye on CL isn't easy for him but he must pick the best available and that wasn't it. It was a dogfight in the end and we got out of it with a draw. When teams come on to us we get space and Kev and Kun can run into it but it was all a mess tonight . it will be very different against Madrid so I'm not too worried about that but tonight was a chance to try seal a,CL place. Just look at how much it means to City fans on here. If you start with Fernandinho even in a 3 you give us some sort of platform and that can help. But Kolarov didn't have his best game tbh and that puts pressure on the defenders. Pity Clichy is slightly injured right now but I'm hopeful he will be back for semi . Do we have to put up with kolarov against stoke ? Surely there is a player in EDS who can cover adequately ? Then again there wasn't much creativity tonight and that's where we fell down .

Hate Pellegrini as a manager, but to save face and satisfy the Pellegrini bump boys, he's a lovely bloke.... back to his management, just seen the post match interview and he states that he's happy with the performance, absolute joker! The way he had is set up was wrong, his tactics were off again, and he refused to change it when it needed changing!!

One step forward for Pellegrini then two steps back as always!
