At the start of last season I thought it would be very difficult to retain the PL title after the effort of a 100 point season and winning the Carabao cup as well. How wrong I was proved. But I thought this season it would be much harder still to keep the intensity and motivation of those two unrivalled seasons. I didn't see the first half today but what I saw in the second was a team that simply can't find the spark that lit up the last two campaigns, but it isn't through lack of effort, and at the moment it is all the players who are affected. It may well be that the title has gone, though we won't give up and we'll make Liverpool win it, but some of the defeatist trash posted on here is disgraceful. It will be interesting to see how many points we have by the end of the season because we can't surely believe 100 points a season is expected and demanded. And then we can see how many points Liverpool get, and how many they get courtesy of officiating, and in particular VAR. In the meantime we can get back to supporting the team and stop blaming the best manager the world has ever seen and the best team in English top flight history.
