Newcastle (a) post-match thread

Didn't watch the match but damn 2 more points dropped. We have already dropped 16 points and it's not even December. I think title is out of reach now unless some miracle happens. Pool deserves it this year. Just hope we can win the CL.

People complain about our general lack of movement and penetration in attack. Then want Sterling sold - the one guy who consistently produces great movement. This City team without Sterling in it would be joining Rags, Arsenal and Spurs in a decline to the Europa League. He is our shining light, the ray of hope every match that we might get behind our opponent.
Definitely this. The only one that makes them runs in behind. We would be fucked without Sterling.

3 x £50m players lost all their value after 2/3 years and turning into a liability.

Lacked both imagination and application today, and as usual only 3 players made a gesture to the fans at the end, the manager and the rest continued to not give a fuck.

Not sure that not gesturing to the fans indicates that they dont " give a fuck " .

Sure it would be appeciated by travelling fans , but to suggest apathy is really something else imo.

Said after Norwich this kind of result will be the norm for the foreseeable future and I’m gitted to be proved right. Not good enough all over the pitch and for the first time in 3 and a half years there’s question marks over the manager as he keeps sending them out to play the same old tired way which is almost a carbon copy of the pellegrini later years at the minute. I don’t expect it to suddenly improve anytime soon either without an active tactical change. Fully expect More games of getting away with it mixed with getting exactly what we deserve like today.

I keep asking, I really would like to know from someone who understands the game better than I: what happened to our overlapping play? I recall under Pelle we stopped using it too.

I think they are both on the wind up

We don’t seem capable of keeping the ball anymore. We’d score and then spend the next 5 minutes toying with the opposition to kill any reprise. It was a common theme come 65 mins for de bruyne or Silva to just kill the ball dead on the half way Lin e and then we’d string together 20-30 passes before starting up again. We don’t seem to get more than 4 or 5 before losing it now.
Keeping the ball isn't the issue - we had 77 per cent possession today. Monumental in an away game.

My post was taking the piss at the morons having a meltdown. Jesus.

Not guilty SB .

There are plenty of others who perfectly fit my description , as ever the same culprits , who all know much better than the club.

If they want to make fools of themselves , that is fine , but I didn't even see your post . OK ?
