big game tonight and newcastle can be tricky on there own patch under lights, the fans will be right up for it wanting blood the ref and the officials will be the same old shit that miss stone wall pens and let newcastle kick us off the park, so a wet and windy and slippy pitch will be ideal for them to slide into the tackles and get away with murder

city need to score early doors and shut up the crowd and make them come at us so we can hit them on the break and pick them off, sane and sterling are the key tonight and with speed on the wings we can open them up and KDB can get a free role to find that killer pass
All away games have the potential to be tricky but I would put this down as one of the main 3 point bankers we have left this season. Anything less than 3 points and the title challenge is on the slide. We are in a rich vein of form, relatively injury free and relatively fresh. Newcastle will put five in front of four and frustrate. They will want to keep in to a one goal game or nil-nil for as long as possible and then hope to take advantage of adverse weather conditions and force a defensive error. We will create 5 or 6 good chances I believe and if we take a few of them it will be plain sailing.

Up in newcastle now a69 all clear just a bit of drizzle here :+)
Good luck anyone coming through that blizzard on m6 around the lake district .

Good luck lads (and lassies) that are going. Should be fun getting back through the snow. Hope you find a good pub to be stuck in. Tan Hill Inn is the ideal choice, but it's a tad off the direct route.

Are there any plans to show our support for the Ashley Out campaign tonight? Joining them while they sing their "Get out of our club" song?

No need for defenders tonight against Rafa and his negative back five with four holding midfielders and one attacking player

In truth and no disrespect meant to any opponent, we've had most of the month of January off, since the Liverpool game, and while we were unable to get a warm-weather break, we've had ample opportunity to rest and rotate players. Tonight, however, is where the real business begins in earnest. Games against Newcastle tend to be tight affairs, but I'll be interested in seeing how they react if we can score early. Benitez is under pressure, so the crowd will be on them to come out if they go a goal down.

This game has "in-sane" headlines written all over it. I can see a comfortable win with Sane heading the line. Maybe even setting up a couple of goals too. Good strong team and hopefully put the pressure on the scousers

I don't know about tending to be tight affairs, they've had some thumpings off us in recent years.
