Good luck lads (and lassies) that are going. Should be fun getting back through the snow. Hope you find a good pub to be stuck in. Tan Hill Inn is the ideal choice, but it's a tad off the direct route.
Bridge Hotel, as well, which is right on the way. Missus and I were in there last year right after a barcodes match (unintended timing, as we were making our way up to Edinburgh), the missus forgetting she was wearing her City knit, and we actually had a grand time with some good banter. Worse places to go in Newcastle.

All away games have the potential to be tricky but I would put this down as one of the main 3 point bankers we have left this season. Anything less than 3 points and the title challenge is on the slide. We are in a rich vein of form, relatively injury free and relatively fresh. Newcastle will put five in front of four and frustrate. They will want to keep in to a one goal game or nil-nil for as long as possible and then hope to take advantage of adverse weather conditions and force a defensive error. We will create 5 or 6 good chances I believe and if we take a few of them it will be plain sailing.

hate it when people tag any city game as a banker ???

maybe am old school but can manchester city really say any away game is a banker and take home the 3 points, yes we are talking about a different kettle of fish with manchester city in the modern setup, but i never do i feel we turn up and win any away game in the premier league and take it for granted before kick off ?? newcastle are never easy on there own patch and we have needed a big moments from yaya to take the game when we needed it

so tonight we need aguero or somebody to grab the game by its neck and win it, that little bit of magic that cost a little bit more money and makes the tops teams stand out from the rest, that was yaya he could win a tight away games he had that magic moment in him he was the man turn too when the pressure was on

good luck with the journey, and for god's sake dont go up to and over the A66, you'll never return. very very snowy.

Game day,let's have it

I think this will be a grinding it out sort of game that will be won late on,as for team,i am only concerned when neither of the twins play but what do i know lol

I don't know about tending to be tight affairs, they've had some thumpings off us in recent years.

Should have qualified that by saying under Benitez. Since he took control, we've had a draw and two victories by the odd goal. Even the game we won 3-1 last January, we needed Sane's late brilliance to get us that late cushion after losing a goal. That's why I'm surprised so many people are predicting we'll win this one quite comfortably. We may enjoy considerable possession, but few teams are as adept at getting men behind the ball and keeping their shape as Newcastle. Hope I'm wrong. :-)
