Least said the better. Laboured, sloppy at times but we still got over the line. That’s why we’re champions.
Feel dirty saying it but Mendy, Mahrez and Fernandinho poor today. Sterling, Stones & Walker, very good. The rest were just ok. Need to make the most of the break now. Pep needs to sit down with Leroy and sort any issues out.

Perfect summary. Worst performance for a long time and we still won. I don’t think the formation helped the players but the result is all that matters. I think Mahrez will get better but we missed Leroy today.

Mendy wasn't as good today because Newcastle had worked him out. As soon as he got the ball they blocked him in with 3 defenders.

Yep, this is true. He didn’t really get chance to attack as often. He was caught in no man’s land for their goal too.

Relieved when that was over.. Thought stones was top again aswell as walker. Was funny seeing all the tough guys outside be separated by one tiny steward. Fair few angry Geordies there today!

Sorry but Mahrez looks completely and utterly lost.
A real dissapointment thus far and had another shocker today. Looks out of his depth currently.

Not sure Mahrez is worthy of a starting place at the moment , if Bernardo had started today we would have been more effective , but obviously Pep wants to rotate and another three points in the bag , and give some credit to Benitez he is organising his team with very limited resources , never expected a classic game of footy today.

Exactly. Some posters on here are unreal. Would not know a footballer if they fell over them. Also check out his pass rate all game, don't think he gave the ball away once

I think we should stick to a 451 with Bernardo starting.We tick far better with one striker and our options are much greater - It suits our style and our players.

The most important thing is the result. At this point, some of the players don't look as though they're at 100%. After the international break, some may be in better form and up to speed.

The most important thing was to stay within 2 points of the leaders. The performances will improve.
