Newcastle (H) post match thread

Aguero played like 15? minutes and instantly we could see his excellent movement leading to chances...If we have that consistently we can catch liverpool easily
What we need is the variety at least. In 18/19 we had 4 wingers who all offered different things and it gave us a lot of freedom to play in whatever way we needed to.

If we have only Aguero we have a top class striker who is always looking for goals but they'll be games where we need more control or fluidity than he can provide. If we have only Jesus then we have more control and fluidity but sometimes you just need someone to make a few runs into the box and try and make something happen.

If we have both (or more perhaps with Torres/a new signing?) then we have the freedom of choice. One, the other, or both!

Do we have that 3rd gear to change in to, that’s the question...
That has been a problem. We get used to cruising then (like WBA) let one in and can't step up. A bit more 3rd gear and get more than one up then use subs sooner.

I thought our 60 million man played well as did our 40.2 million one. Not so sure about our 55 million one but 30 million for the other guy was well worth it. A little unsure on our manager, not knocking his tactics but those clothes weren't worth what he paid for them.

Oh and can anyone tell me how much we paid for Bernado as for some reason Darke failed to mention it.
It’s getting very tiresome isn’t it.

Does anyone else think Kevin is playing a little too far foward? He seems to be playing with his back to goal, rather than having the game in front of him.

For all his quality, he is never going to fulfill the David role, where he can retain the ball in tight spaces and open up the play on the half turn.

Too many times tonight, he lost the ball in and around the box, with his back to goal. When he came a little deeper, he pulled off some quality through balls.

It was just a little observation really.
I’d be interested to see how we’d do with Kev deeper & Phil playing number 10

Other than a handful of through balls or crosses he is a detriment to the team at the moment.

A detriment to the team is when a player doesn’t get involved and disappears to the point you forget they’re playing.

De Bruyne was often involved and could even have had a couple of goals. You desperately need players like De Bruyne in the team because without them you end up with the issues I mentioned in the first paragraph.

De Bruyne isn’t and never has been a detriment to this team and even without his best form, we’re a better team with him than without him.

The only club in the whole premiership that moves up the league table, is described as "ominous" by BT Spite.
Wouldn’t that be the correct word?

Nobody likes us (which I fucking love!) and we are looking a worrying threat to them all.

Gundo looked like he had a phone call from Merlin, not just his movement, but also that crunching tackle that he obviously enjoyed.

Just found Darke and Macmanaman’s research pack for commentating on City games

I ended up listening a little bit tonight rather than playing music as I spotted Ned on.

Darke has managed to rename most of our team with double barrelled names....£40million-Ake, Dias£65million etc, strange it was just Joelinton, wonder why that was?

I take it he's always like this?
