I see the bbc gossip has Bruno G wanted by Barca now (after they’ve realised they can’t get Bernardo). He’s their best player for me, so I’d be doing all in their power to resist the Catalans.
As ever, guess it depends on how the player would view such a move to some extent - along with how many years he’s got left. I’d doubt Barca could offer him a higher salary.

Bruno has said that it was always his dream to play in the Premier League and he’s only been here for approximately 10 months. In that time he’s cemented his place in our team and is without doubt our most important player. He’s has just become a father and calls his son a little Geordie and has said that he’s living his dream and he has said that he feels like a Geordie. His father and mother are treated like royalty and are loving seeing how the fans love Bruno. His dad was actually filmed at one of our games crying when the crowd were supporting his son. It’s a bit surreal that people are asking Bruno’s dad for autographs and he willingly signs them and has time to talk to everybody. Bruno has had a few things to say about his time in France not being too good, he has commented without going into too much detail so we don’t know what he didn’t like about that time.

Maybe he has found his home, maybe not as he has already commented about the temperature and it’s October and still mild. He signed in January so has been through a winter so should know what it’s like when the cold winds blows in off the North Sea.

Anything can happen, what I can say is that he’s idolised at Newcastle and the fans can do no more to keep him than we are. Bruno was idolised before kicking a ball because he was an international footballer coming into the club and didn’t have a relegation clause inserted into his contract.

I do think he’ll get a bumper contract in the next 6 months or so as the club know his value and everything he has personally done to raise the profile of the club internationally. It’s great that he’s being talked about as he deserves it. He’s 24 going on 25 and he has the world at his feet, it’s up to him to decide what he wants to do. My main concern is that he has now said a few times that it is up to his agents to sort out what happens as he just concentrates on football, that may be genuine or it may be an excuse for leaving at some point in the future.

Thing we found at City during these Mansour years is that emotional ties have kept players like Aguero, Silva, Kompany at City for years, decades. Its a currency worth more than money and our owners know that. It seems that Newcastles SA owners are taking that approach rather than the PSG approach, and long may it continue. Wise ownership tbh.

Compare that with the immediate-profit Corporate American attitude to club ownership.

The future is Blue though :)

Tell us about it.

We see it in nearly every match at Etihad.

We did it to virtually every team under Bruce, I take it as a sign that we're improving, we'll just have to learn to deal with it.

It was quite funny because our city allows any away fans to drink anywhere, all cities should do this. The Villa fans before the game were full of themselves and were falling over each other to say how they were going to batter us because Gerard had gone and how they wouldn't swap any of our players for theirs.

After the game it was totally different, their excuses were pathetic. We were lucky, we were over physical, our players are all crap and just run around, they’re suffering from injuries, the officials were homers etc etc.

The majority of Villa fans are as bad as Liverpool and Man U fans without the recent trophies to back up their arrogance.

Could be anyones, including the title...who is to say KDB and say Ederson don't get injured in latter stages of intense WC match?.. could happen to any team of course..also losing on pens in the final for example...could really lose a mentally...all these things could happen to anyone..BUT we have a fair few in teams that will contend... Winners of the league this season 80 + points...there will be loads of points switched, dropped etc until April

The title is yours.

I got you and i agree but not sure if it's solely down to being not professional..i think he has struggled under Pep...the rigid way of playing is not him. I have a lot of Villa mates who adored him as a player..but for me when he was there, i saw him play live a bit (going with mates etc) and i just didn't buy into it...lost the ball a lot, was not really that successful if you look at the stats (money ball ii know). Found this trf to be out of synch for us, really odd buy.. i like him though in terms of he is trying to be normal and have a bit of a laugh...just a bit misguided re comments about your man...Howe, doing so much tactically then when at Bournemouth. That break did him the world of good, didn't he start visiting clubs around Europe, improving his knowledge?

No fan of another club will know anything associated with your club better than your fans who live and breathe the club every day and I feel uncomfortable trying to give an outsider’s opinion.

Howe has done a brilliant job for us and I would like nothing better than for him to get us our first trophy since 1969, he has worked so hard and has brough everything together for us, he’s the biggest reason for our current position and everything that is going right for us.

I should add that our 20% owners are playing a blinder and giving him everything he asks for and their full support. I think they recognise that the manager/coach is the most important person at the club bar none.

I heard a liverpool fan ranting that they have spent 200m in less than a year, and that's why they are 4th, ycmiu, ignoring the fact his own team have spent almost half that on one player and are currently 5 places below them

We've had the same form Man U fans even though our defence cost less than Maguire, our midfield cost less than Casemiro and our forwards cost less than Antony.

There were a number of dodgy stories about his personality and him going out on the piss when he was at Villa. So I don’t think it’s that the price tag has gone to his head. I think he’s always been like that.

He does combat all that with all the work he does with disabled or ill fans. He comes across as a caring and nice lad with that side of things. Could be PR, or could that he’s a decent fella deep down and is just a typical British Jack the Lad to go with it.

It's just typical that you never hear about the good stuff. It's the same with us, we had players helping in foodbanks, players giving fortunes away to fans etc.

Newcastle need to be taken seriously. I personally thought they would be a decent shout to be top 4 contenders. The January transfer window will be interesting. They need CL football to attract the nex tier but their owners do appear to know what they're doing.

I'd love to see them get to 4 this season and win a trophy, just to see the reaction of the tabloids, Talkshite and the Red teams. Fucking meltdown especially if Newcastle got top 4 at the expense of the Dippers.

Hairy mits is an arse, would any club want players who didn't want to live in their area? We're only a 40 minute flight to London. You can spend longer than that trying to drive 5 miles at the wrong time of day. I've taken more than 4 hours a few times driving home 8 miles from work.

We're 20 minutes to the beach, 20 minutes to 3 cities, 20 minutes to the countryside. We've got thousands of years of history on our doorsteps.
