Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Newcastle do something. Same for Sunderland, Toffees, Sheffield and Brum clubs, Hammers too.

Why? Newcastle, Brighton, Brentford and Palace are examples of well run clubs well managed playing decent football and doing OK. Sunderland, Sheffield and Brum, Oldham Coventry, Boro and Swindon for that matter are all clubs who featured and thought they had hit the big time and frittered it away - we did it FFS and were nearly down there with the dead men. You are where you are and the table doesn't lie - we have had over a decade of a plan thats come to fruition - thats how you run a sound business - I am pleased to say the rags have had the same period of complete bollocks and are getting what they deserve but sorry the idea that Sunderland or Wednesday deserve better because of some sort of history is for the birds - thats dipperthink - the past is the past now is now and you are where you are because of now.

Many apologies. I'll name every club in the pyramid next time, just to keep muffties like you happy.

I was generalising, and providing my opinion, which is what forums are about. Apologies for offending and rattling your cage.

Geordies and Mancs get on don't they? I haven't met a bad Geordie yet.

They do my head in. For years they’ve whined and moaned with a sense of entitlement akin to scousers or rags.

I can’t really say a bad word about Sunderland fans on the other hand.

I think my only agenda for wanting X club to succeed or ‘do a Newcastle’, is that they don’t become arrogant in how they then portray their success.

So, all the previous clubs pumped with investment/change of rules, the 3 red shirts - they’re as arrogant as anything.

I think the only other club I’d classify in a similar fashion with them, is Spurs.

Any other club who rises from the pyramid with investment, with a longterm plan, without arrogance - good luck and enjoy the journey. - hence why it’s a joy to see Brighton, Brentford and similar do as well as they are (currently)

Having lived there, my experience was that Geordies are top folks until you get them on the subject of football at which point a significant minority talk absolute bollocks.

Wanker fans, nowhere to be seen until keegan rocked up, didn't they average 15k one season? The true fans of that region are Sunderland, different class to the boring jawdee gobshites.
