The ceiling with Ashley is PL survival with minimum investment and the style of football that comes with that.

You remind us of how we were under Swales. An utter shit show with a spiv of an owner. At least Swales did care a bit......I think. Ashley couldn't care less about Newcastle, it's fans, the club and it's history. As you rightly said it's stay in the premier league with minimum investment and hopefully one day line his pockets with a sale. The man is a **** of the highest order.

He seems to have forgotten about the Red Knights, allegedly all good at making money in the City and elsewhere, life long ragfans, who were going to ride in to rescue United from the Glazers. They had a bit more access to money than Rio's bucket collection ideas but they got nowhere.
Why does the media even give half an ear to this clown?
