Newcastle United (A) | Post Match thread

I think this iteration of the side might be the weakest since Pep built the 2017/18 side. The balance doesn’t feel good and we have no depth at all. The importance of the players that have left has been seriously undervalued by the fans IMO.

I still expect we’ll win the league because Liverpool don’t look up to it, but currently this side doesn’t get close to 17/18, 18/19 or 20/21 for me.
Don’t rule out Arsenal. If they can keep healthy I think arteta is making a good team. I see them doing better then Liverpool this season.. mane is a huge lose for Liverpool

Listening to Sky was painful so biased at times, for me I thought red card and also Foden could/should have squared again for Haaland at 1-0 which could have changed things.

Overall to claw it back from 3-1 in that kind of atmosphere with Newcastle’s tails up is a good point and I think there will be relief in the dressing room.

Pope was outstanding and ASM decided to produce final product for the first time against us of course.

Anyway up the Blues

Take the point and it's a long season so don't think the dropped points matter at this point. Bit worried how we sometimes go to absolute shit when teams with some pace and direct players have a go at us but hopefully it will be worked on.

Teams with legs and a strong will is a problem for us with Rodri in midfield. Anytime a team walks past him in midfield we have problems. I could see the problems coming after ten minutes. I miss Fernandinho.
