Great game to watch, but we weren't ourselves for most of the first half and the start of the second half in that we were losing possession a bit too easy. Walker, Stones and Rodri were poor in the first 60 minutes, and Foden had another selfish brainfart.

We can't defend well when we don't control the ball long enough. It's that simple. Newcastle were pressing like mad and made it difficult for us, we lost our composure and were a bit too direct at times. Hope Foden realises his mistake. Has everything to be fantastic except for a cool head. Has enough time to mature and improve his decision making, though.

Thought Haaland was excellent and could have scored more. We are probably more stable in possession and defence with a false 9 or a presser like Jesus, but Haaland brings other things on the table. He's a proper predator and makes us better to watch.

Seriously undervalued by the club it seems. The only person pushing Walker and Cancelo was supposed to be playing for Girona right now. We look thin all around.

We desperately need another full back (don't care which side at this point), and we could probably do with either another midfielder or another winger (if not both).

But we'll sign nobody.

Tbf Walker has been outstanding for us for years. He still didnt shy away from the game today even when struggling. Sign of good character and we need to back players like that to the hilt.

Reading the match day thread whilst watching the game was an education !!!

I'm sure these people watch the game with an overwhelming need to know that we're going to win the game from the start. Anything that affects that feeling is met with over reaction. I log on at half time if we're having a bad game to see if anyone has some insight or analysis that can explain where we went wrong but it's usually just a lot of rage and anger because we aren't 4 0 up.

Listening to the pundits wasnt a red card. I still think if a player lunges in both feet of the ground it's a red. Its wasnt two footed but he was of the ground.

When you fly in with both feet off the ground you are in the lap of the gods. It's only how the opposing players weight or angle of leg is facing that gets you out of ending his career. You are out of control. The person you are tackling isn't.
