Newcastle United (a) pre-match thread

Realised in an earlier post I got fat boy and Scouse fan Kavanaugh mixed up for our next two games.

I feel less confident with a Liverpool fan refereeing and find it strange Newcastle haven't appealled against a ref from Manchester overseeing it? Makes me even more apprehensive about the match.

Where's everyone going for an early beer, heard there is a boozer near the train station opens early any ideas

There is a pub on the station which is decent and accross from central station you have the Forth Inn and Town Wall pubs (side road by the subway food outlet) which are very good and both serve food. If you want to get up close to the ground behind the away end you have the Black Bull (just past the esso station on leazes lane) which is a dump but the beer is okay and 3 minutes to the leazes end.

We have to start doing something which we used to do well but seem to have lost the knack of recently - score early!!

We scored in the first minute there last season and look what happened !

They will do the same as every other team in the bottom half have done.
Two banks of 5, and pack the penalty box as soon as we get in range of their goal.
It’s becoming the norm now. It’s boring and we still haven’t found a way to unlock those tactics. They never play like this against anyone else and I suppose we can’t blame them or it could be an ass whooping.

We all know that Brighton will not be allowed to get anything from their game. So we can’t rely on anyone.

Would stick to City centre loads of decent pubs stay aware from Bigg Market it’s a dump wouldn’t recommend the Black Bull decent pubs on Percy St just round corner from Sid James Pk
