5th for me.We have to sacrifice it, unfortunately. The squad looks threadbare and this is fourth on our list of priorities.

Windy night up in the Toon on Wednesday.
Hope Bobb starts. Been looking forward to see how he does.
True but I'd still expect our EDS to lose to any team that reaches the quarter finals. They already play against weakened league 1 and league 2 sides every season in the papa John's trophy and don't do particularly well (none of them do) so I think it's fair to say we would very likely be knocked out regardless of the opposition.Still a reasonable chance it could be against a lower league opponent - 14 left as it stands and at least 6 PL clubs will be knocked out this round.
I agree with everything you said but then you go on to risk Gvardiol, Ake, Alvarez and Doku which is utter madnessCan't remember the last time i looked at our next match and felt indifferent to the outcome , i usually want us to win every game but the Carabao Cup is a hinderance now , it sounds very Raggish but we have bigger fish to fry.We went out in the quarter finals with a weakened team last season at Southampton , and there is no chance Pep is going to play a full strength team in this cup so we may as well exit the competition at the first stage and save our energy.
Our squad will be stretched this season and i have enjoyed all of our recent Carabao cup finals but we have history to make , four consecutive title wins and the first English club to retain the Champs league will make Pep and this team immortal in football terms.
Ortega
Rico
Gvardiol
Ake
Wilson Esbrand
Phillips
Nunes
Gomez
Bobb
Alvarez
Doku
if we had alternatives like McAtee & Doyle and other loan players we could play them but those four players if injured do have quality replacements , if Haaland , Walker , Dias , Bernardo , Foden , Grealish and a couple of others got injured long term that would be an issue. Although we appear to be managing Ok without KDB and Stones so who knows , hope Pep has still got his boots he could do a job in midfield.I agree with everything you said but then you go on to risk Gvardiol, Ake, Alvarez and Doku which is utter madness
I think he's just trying to give us a false sense of hope and I'm not buying it.
Agree with this totally, probably the biggest loss/draw percentage numbers we've ever had in the pre-match poll.I genuinely think you'll win this. And by a couple of clear goals. And I'm not one of these glass-half-empty people that say that City are going to lose when, clearly, all the evidence is to the contrary. But this time, I don't see us making it.
