Cant believe some are saying the CWC is Mickey mouse.

You can only enter it if you with champions league which you might win once in your entire history of you are lucky.

CWC is the third biggest trophy this season after the CL and league for me.
I'm not a fan of the CWC but any competition that pays out £4m cannot possibly be Mickey Mouse, so I'd agree that it's got to be prioritised. Anyway, the dippers shouted from the rooftops when they won it so it must be an important trophy.

Good to see that there's at least one person who sees it the way I do. I suspect, though, that there'll only be two of us. I don't think, though, that there's any format that could make the Club WC a serious competition. People want to win it, because it's never been done by City before. Fair enough. Each to his own.
If I wanted to be provocative, I'd send the EDS out to Saudi, and keep the full first team for the quarter-final of the League Cup. Bit extreme, I know. In any case, there's no danger of that.
You cant think of any format that could make it a serious competition?

Try thinking harder.

How about that the projected total prize money in 2025 is a minimum of over £2.5 Billion and will include 32 teams from all over the World in the same way the World Cup does? I only mention this format because that’s what it is and we have already qualified.

Best sack that off though eh?

Nailed on starters for me:

Ortega
Ake
Lewis
Phillips
Grealish

Probable:

Nunes
Gomez

I suppose it has to be Gvardiol and Akanji to make a back 3 with Ake (4 with Lewis, when out of possession)

Then there's
Doku, Bobb, Alvarez & Haaland for the final spot

Love games without VAR. Can actually celebrate goals, same amount of refereeing controversy, less timewasting.
I agree about the celebrating, but more chance of home crowd influencing the decisions though! Kavanagh is not the best referee.

Weather forecast (BBC and Met Office) is currently approximately 40mph winds from 8pm Wednesday in Newcastle, yellow weather warning, Storm Agnes!

I can see Pep using more players from the youth setup than people are saying in their lines ups, I think the EDS lads play tonight so I don't see many from there playing tomorrow, Pep is not a risk-taker and the first-team squad is thin and 2 or 3 injured or not ready, The lineup tomorrow could be a big shock and we could just roll over and get it out of the way,

We could name our Best 11 tomorrow and still lose, Newcastle away is probably one of the hardest games this season and they will be hungry for success and want every chance to win silverware this season
