Silva can play on the left. If I remember rightly, he was MOTM in the 8-0 against Watford there.

I've seen him on the left before, but only sporadically as a switch-up. TBH he is so versatile and intelligent he could play anywhere in the front or midfield line

I'm amazed by our boys, I don't know how they keep up the pace, especially foden. They were knackered towards the end and pep should have made a sub. But maybe that's why we won.

Rodri is playing that good at the moment that I have him as motm most times but he was edged by foden today.

Walker is just so masterclass. Our team are so experienced!

Huge win for me that. We are nowhere near our peak and the way the league is, Newcastle will be a top 4/5/6 team. Week of training, sign a player or two, Kovacic settles even more than he has, we are in a very strong position

The probing snd short passing is there, im looking forward to doing it higher up the pitch, like gundo did

Kova is top class and much nearer to Gundo than you seem to think.

Watched the game today in the bar in New York where the NYC Supporters’ Club gather for games. Having done that once before back when Hughes was manager, at a different bar, it was interesting to reflect on how both the team and our support have grown in the intervening years. They’re gonna need a bigger bar.

Haaland has plenty of credit in the bank. We forget the guy is 23. God help the league and Europe when he starts connecting on some of these shots

Rodri set the highest standards and he was slightly below those today. One underhit pass could have cost us a goal. But he remains arguably our most important player. True collosus.

Said in the pre match thread and it came to fruition. This team, regardless of injuries and set backs are the very best in the world. I’m sure those who have a downer on every little thing are just like that in their lives so you’ve got to let them crack on but fuck me, if you can’t have faith in this lot you’ll never have faith in anything. That’s a sad existence.

Peps reaction to the fan in the stands was classic. Good response when asked about it also. We all think we can do better recognizing when we need subs but he sees the game differently to everyone else. He’s doesn’t like to disrupt tempo in close games.
