Ive a good feeling too.....but its based on the fact i've seen reason to be optimistic in the last couple of games both in respect of individual form and Pep hitting on a more progressive and cohesive system.

Great that Stones is back too.

Looking forward to this, feels like ages since the last game at The Etihad. Shame it's an early start, but should still be a decent atmosphere as the Geordies are always pretty vocal. Think we'll line up like this:

Akanji
Dias
Ake
Rodri
Gundogan
De Bruyne
Grealish
Foden
Haaland

I'd be very surprised. Pep seems to always have one full back inverted and Walker cant play that role, I doubt Ake will be aksed to either.

It will be either Lewis or Bernardo

However, I'd love to see a traditional back 4 as Newcastle attack the wings

Expect a win but I think these might give us a scare.….after all we are what they aspire to be….and I don’t mean that in an arrogant way. The geordies deserve a bit of success and I hope they achieve it but I think they have a way to go yet…

I wonder how difficult it is to execute parking the bus. I'm sure we don't practice that style of defense, so maybe it is impossible to implement on the fly.
