Don’t you think someone who has been actively trying to buy Newcastle, for the best part of 3 years, would have already had this in place.
Having stumped up £300 million for the club, I’d definitely have had my own football analysis / scouting system in place, for at least as long as I’d been interested in buying the club.

When we were bought out, it all happened so fast. Yes we had some of the best people around, to guide us through the early stages, but didn’t have the time Newcastle’s new owners have had for planning, and it cost us a lot of money, buying up players that weren’t good enough or permanently injured.
Completely agree. But it’s one thing having a plan. It’s another executing it. This takeover has dragged on. Those potential appointments might be in roles they have to extricate themselves from. It’ll take months. Improved training facilities and academy etc also takes time. As we all recall, it wasn’t as simple as “we’ll pay you this much” when trying to attract good players. The other imponderable is how attractive will Newcastle be to live for top class talent and their families.
It’s going to be fascinating to see how this all plays out.

We signed a lot of players on big contracts in the early days of the takeover, we had to to get them to sign in that stage of our development, mistakes were made but we learnt quickly.

Newcastle will do the same but have a great blue print on how to do it properly if they follow our model, which I would expect they will.
We did very well. David Silva, Serge, Yaya and others signed.
We became a real force and a threat to the entitled ones.
Then came ffp...

Hopefully ffp won't impede the geordies too much, however, the geography is another question altogether.

I suspect Newcastle won’t be doing United any favours, given their opposition to the takeover.
I agree with you bud. The Saudis like our owners will I'm sure be aware on which clubs influenced the decision to initially decline their bid to buy Newcastle.
