What he’s too thick to realise is that all the shit we get, they’ll be getting in 4+ years time if they manage to build something to challenge the old elite. The smears with come thick and fast the moment they stand on Liverpool and Utd’s toes - including against their support.
Indeed they'll get a bit of smoke up their arses but,the shit will start if they actually threaten especially on a regular basis. Just look at Everton had almost nothing negative said as they're no better than they were before however, win a couple of cups and it'll start.

Warren Barton on sly with a wee dig about City crowds and their rammed stadium with folk hanging off the rafters.

Maybe but the rags spent 1 billion since fergie left and won 3 trophies won nowt in four years plus more restaurants now with premier ffp! It’ll take them time but the likes of Villa who has an owner with more money than city owner and Everton with a very rich owner too! Everton are a very good example of spending big in the last 5 years and now ffp has caught up with them and look who they bought in the summer!

Yeah they will of course need to hire the right manager :)

They could in theory hire Conte and back him to the hilt.

Would love it if they came in and kicked out another history club who for decades sat on top of the money pile shitting on everyone else who had no chance to develop or break in.

The crying you see now is only because they are being threatened, nowhere in the media was there any concern for "fair play" when the same 4 clubs finished top 4 every single year and grew more and more powerful without having to try and invest as they had such a huge financial advantage.

The only shame is that newcastle had a few loud critics of the club over the years, I wonder what they are saying now. Hopefully they are prepared to become the villains now they are a threat to the media favourites.

Started to bake their humble pies as we speak, the few Newcastle gobshites I've come across on youtube and Twitter over the last few years, slating us for what we have done.

Just like many (big) clubs, apart from you know who, they will have fans like us who have seen shite served up to them for countless years, and part of me is chuffed for them, who spent their hard earned for donkeys.

I'll accept them finishing runners up to us in the years to come.....................

Taxi for the elephant man

Yep. Like City, Newcastle have a largely local fanbase. As another poster said, if they get to a position like us where they go far in all the cup competitions pretty much season after season they won't be filling SJP every single game as even some of the most loyal fans will be struggling to justify the cost of attending all their matches. It's interesting to note that the last time Newcastle played in the group stages of the Champions League - in 2002-03 - they were over 10,000 below capacity for 3 of their 6 group games (if anyone is wondering why they played 6 group games that season, there were actually 2 group stages, not 1)

The onwers will want to make a statement but can't do anything about signing players until January (although I suspect agents will be falling over themselves trying to get their players to Newcastle)

I can see them going for Conte though. Big name and Bruce can ride off into the sunset with a nice severance package

lets face it, they will have a hard time attracting big players. I mean if ur Mbappe, Neymar or lets say Depay. Would u wanna move from Paris/Barcelona to Newcastle? No disrespect to the place or the fans, but lets be real here. They would have to fork out millions to pull in players for the first 2 years.

I heard Mendy is a decent player.... maybe they will pay 100m for him.

That aside... more competition the better for the premier league.

But all that said, lets pray for Yemen!!!!! Theres a famine there... and the saudis have a lot to answer for.

Media be going into overdrive payed if by the history clubs to pressure the premier not to agree to the deal! But if that happens can see the Saudis taking all the way to the courts and they wouldn’t want that!

Oh if Newcastle put a bid in for any the rag players glazers will take the money happily just like Arsenal did from us!
