They could do with somebody like Andy Morrison to light the fuse of pride in performance. They currently have no leader on the pitch.I quite like Howe and was impressed he managed to keep Bournemouth up as long as he did.
I don't think he's likely to be able to take Newcastle to where they ultimately want to go, but for their short and medium term aims (stay in the PL, become reliably mid-table, build a solid platform to grow from) he's probably a decent choice.
I hope he has the freedom to choose who he brings into the club, especially in January. I don't think they need superstars right now, they need hard work and experience of grinding out results to move away from the relegation zone.

Yep, Eddie is little more than a well paid supply teacher in the Pellegrini mould. They will eventually want a bigger name within 12/18 monthsmaybe they worked under a good manager first ?
