1. Bet that fat c#nt True Geordie is up all night deleting his hundreds of videos slandering the city owners.

2. Glad it'll take a bit of heat away from city.

3. Be hilarious if they go down this season.
Geordies going down with a billion in the bank ..

I think this can only be good for City ... it will wind-up all the people who hate City, and take a little heat off us (just a little, but still) ... it'll give them something else to get indignant about.

It will also show that having a super-rich person take over your club doesn't just hand you quadruples / 100-point seasons, most goals & wins ever, etc on a plate ... as lots of fans & pundits seem to think.

Can someone tell me what is different from the first takeover that the PL stopped ? Yes the Saudis have supposedly sorted out TV rights with BeIN but that's it.
The truth is, the PL thought the Saudis would go away but now were faced with having to explain their actions in a court of law. They were going to be shown up for the puppets they are. Puppets to the rag tops in red so they caved in.

I welcome the new owners as it is another nail in the corrupt yank circus that at the moment runs the premier league.

Think it'll take them a little bit longer than it did City to turn the investment into pots, the appointment of the right manager is key....Bobby back in the prem...? Would not surprise me if they make a play for him.

Steve Bruce is about to get a lovely pay off the c**t.

Fucking brilliant news. The same way Chelsea became the press favourites along with the yank owned clubs, when those dirty Arabs took over City, we might soon be accepted. Close the media thread now ;-)

It's funny to see some of the reactions to this, especially from the very casual fans. You'd think all City had to do to get where they are at today is just throw vast sums of money around. I don't care how much money their new owners have, they will be up against it.

Will be massively interesting this, I am fully in your camp and will be surprised if they win it in 10 years.

FFP is out there and the cartel clubs will be determined to not have any more competition. I would expect to see some more emphasis on salary/ turnover, that will make it even harder for Newcastle.

The market prices for players is crazy high, we invest what we have just to try and stay on top.

A net spend of £300-400 million per season is going to be needed to start replacing 6/7 players at a time. These will also not be the best players these will be the ones hoping to put you in contention for top 4.

It is then going to be an even bigger outlay to get the special players of the next level, plus the cost of the players who have helped you get top 4 but not good enough for the next step but are on inflated wages so no other club will take.

Plus you are rarely going to be getting first pick and no-one can under estimate the window of Yaya and Silva (there is no guarantee of a window as great as that)

Good managers/ structure…The list goes on and on.

United have tried to buy success and have continually failed.

Good luck Newcastle, you are going to need it!!
