I think a lot of city fans seem to forget how excellent Kolarov was in the second half of last season.. in fact he was one of our most consistent players all season. Clichy was poor even when he got switched to left back today, constantly giving the ball away and no final delivery whatsoever..

Kolarov is currently the much better left back and suits our style with his final ball.

Probably the reason his contract was extended. Clichy offers zero going forward and is only on a par defensively so Kolorov will start more games than Clichy

I think Hart has to start in net. Caballero has had all pre season to show he is an upgrade on Hart as all the Hart haters on here kept telling me and he just hasn't shown that. Give the gloves to Hart say they are his but to make sure he keeps a high standard of performance as Caballero is waiting to take them from him.

Also any chance Aguero will start this game or will he come off the bench?

Very hard to assess Caballero properly given he has had makeshift defences in front off him.

Jovetic has had a great pre season, but for me id go with dzeko for his physical abilities.

A midfield of Fernando patrolling the back four and thus releasing yaya and fernandinho to burst forward.

Silva and nasri cutting in from each side, pulling the strings, and allowing the full backs to overlap.


This is assuming that Kompany, Demechelis, Fernandinho and Zabs will be available !

If not, Sagna in for Zabs, and Milner for Fernandinho.

Lets hope to god we have at least one of Kompany , Mangala , Demechelis available so we don't have to see a Boyata / Nastasic partnership again.

Im assuming Aguero wont be in contention.
