front three of robinho, Adebayor, Tevez with Bellamy, RSC and Benjani as cover with SWP and Petrov playing there from time to time is not hard to work out mate[/quote]

Ah, so you're saying that RSC is cover for Adebayor?

If thats so, then we are on the same page on that but my initial point was regarding buying an injured player and then buying another one for the same purpose, i.e targetman, i wholly agree that Ade would be ahead of RSC but that was incidental to my point, which you missinterpreted as 1st choice between those two.

Having said that, there are planty on here who would rather see RSC ahead of Adebayor..........plenty!

haha. oh shit :P
well shauny isn't a full player

I myself said it would be a disaster and I wasn't talking about the attacking line or the midfield or even the Blackburn game alone, I was on about in terms of the whole season if Mark Hughes decides to stick with what we have in the central defensive area and that's why I think it would be a very bad idea in not buying someone else at CB. Hughes said he wants to strengthen the defence if he can or he'll go with what we've got in which I added it would be a disaster, I watched some of the pre-season friendlies and the defence wasn't great and i'm not talking about the South African matches here i'm on about the Rangers and Celtic game.

I already said in an earlier post about Vincent Kompany being injured and Kolo Toure signalling he needed to come off after just 20 minutes vs Celtic that's the reason why I said it would be a disaster because it leaves us with Tal Ben-Haim, Richard Dunne and Nedum Onuoha as alternatives. I wasn't talking about the Blackburn game but more about up until January if no other defensive signings are made if deals cannot be reached, I wreckon that would be a disaster due to Kompany being injured and Kolo Toure having some kind of injury trouble in which case leaves us with 3 central defenders whom which I won't comment on or i'll get slated.

RSC and Adebayor will not play together unless other injuries force it.

If we get the defence sorted and they start to develop into a solid organised unit, then there will be times and opponents where they could be played together and it would be frightening for the opposition, the opponents need to be lower table game pinchers like Bolton, Stoke, Burnley etc, then go all out with

  1. Given
    ---------------
  2. Zab
  3. Toure
  4. Lescott/Onuoha
  5. Bridge
    ---------------
  6. Tevez
  7. Barry
  8. Ireland
  9. Robinho
    ---------------
  10. RSC
  11. Adebayor

Unlikely maybe, but certainly not impossible at all.

There's no width at all in that side and it wouldnn't work, Nixon.

I think that the 4-4-2 will be a change formation if we're chasing the game. But with two target men you need crosses coming from wide. So it's SWP for Tevez for me.
