Don't see the point in naming Silva, Ferna or Aguero. Our next captain should be someone we expect to hold the post for at least five years. Personally I believe the captain should also be someone who will start most games- Vinny was an exception because his injury issues came after he'd been captain for a while. With that in mind, De Bruyne, Sterling, Bernardo and Laporte are probably the candidates.

De Bruyne is 100% the closest thing to Kompany. Remarkably intelligent, quiet and well-mannered off the pitch but capable of becoming very passionate and vocal on it.

Sorry mate I disagree. As good as Silva has been,(for me our best ever player) he is too shy and private a person to be a leader and captain IMO
