Next James Bond?

The simple question is does the James Bond franchise need a shake up?
The simple answer judging by box office and figures and reviews is No

So the even simply question is why in the fuck did it come up in the first place

That would probably be the most interesting question on this thread.

One, only the Broccoli family and Elba could answer.

Then why did you put the question on Bluemoon? And as for being stupid? Made me giggle. I think you're intelligent poster Bigga, I also think a lot of your topics are borderline trolling and wummery. (Just my opinion)

Hm.

So, we're avoiding the vigilante factor now?

Hokey dokey...

No Im not but it wouldn't be Batman without the past story of why he is troubled and does what he does. The new Nolan Batman worked the vigilante point very well but I feel you still need the very core of what Batman is for the story to work
Plenty of other vigilante type movies but they are not Batman

Yeah... No.

Strip away all the b*ll*cks and Bats is JUST a vigilante.

Nothing else matters and THAT is the core of Batman.
Only the 1960's show and the earlier cartoons avoided the dark side of what Batman is. Strip away all the bollocks and what you have is a half baked vigilante story with someone dressed up as Batman. People would laugh at the very concept let alone anyone pay to see it
Imagine pitching your idea to movie execs
I want to remake Batman, we will avoid everything that drove Batman to become Batman as I want to cast someone who isn't white as Batman. In fact I dont even want the main character to be Bruce Wayne or it be in Gotham City and at all costs we will avoid his back story
Not really Batman is it

My question was Elba.

BoyBlue's was about why they had the talk when the current incarnation is doing well. Both legitimate questions, although shades from each other.

Perhaps it's smoke screen and Elba's in talks to be a rogue MI6 agent that is capable of bettering 'Bond' or 'killing' him.

Now that would be an interesting premise...

-- Mon Oct 29, 2012 11:01 am --

What you would be pitching is about an unhinged fruit cake in a silly suit.

Not hard to do in another back story...

It wouldn't be Batman though!

Picture fail!

Batman with his billions...

'Bats' without...

What's that second pic from, forgot the name, decent film.

"Super"; 'Shut up, Crime!'.

A good indication of how off kilter the whole 'Batman' thing is. There's actually no difference between the two except for money!

Cheers.

Gonna whack that on my Christmas Blu Ray list.

Yeah couldn't be bothered to change it.
I will tell you the difference between those 2 movies

About £1 billion in box office revenue

Batman with back story

Not Batman

Wow. Such complex reasoning here!!

I think the odds of fair to high on your not seeing "Super" is quite accurate.

I say this knowing that the final instalment of 'The Dark Knight' doesn't run 'Super' out of town, at all.
