Next Manager after Pep

Not sure if anyone's asked the question but would anybody here be opposed to be Pep taking a sabbatical with an interim manager coming in with the understanding Pep would be back after say a couple of years of good rest and golf. Am not sure what top manager would take that deal or the risks involved but in an ideal, hypothetical world would anyone be opposed? Just curious.

I'd love that, but it'd be hard to see a top manager shelving his ego knowing he'd be gone in 2 years.

That said, maybe a Bielsa swansong before he retires... :)

That’s the logic of a fan I’m afraid. We are now very much an “elite” club, as much as Barcelona, PSG and R mAdrid. The players we will sign in the future won’t have known anything different.

Players don’t care that Liverpool have won the champions league more times than us or that juventus have won the league 42 times. They want a well run club that gives them the best chance of success, a nice life and a good salary/contract. Yes, a world class manager helps but we can have our pick when Pep leaves.

Whilst these are of course halcyon days, if you think that City will regress in the long term you are not paying attention and talking the club down. We have been the most successful club in England for the last decade and the premier league is the strongest and most attractive in the world to world class players.
Exactly this.

City are the polar opposite to u#d

I would be happy with this..But I think he would want to stay with his family maybe...

It's a bit premature (hopefully) to discuss the next manager. Pep may stay for another 3 years, who knows? And in 3 years there will be new managerial stars.

Lets be honest..Who would have thought (including Pep himself) that he would stay here for 7 years. If you had asked the same question to Pep when he joined us first he would have given the same answer he gave today probably. But the club convinced him to stay longer. We just need to trust the club will convince him more and more.

i don't think he care's what others think about him ? he just sets personal targets and can see when its time up
But you're assuming his personal target is only to win the CL - then he's gone. He might have other unfulfilled targets for City before he thinks his time is up
