Going by this weekends cancellations and revised timetable there is no chance of making game next Saturday.

I'm on the mega bus on that day.
Leaves Glasgow 8.20 and arrives Manchester 12.40 with no stops.
Actually as long as I book a seat downstairs it has been a lot better than I imagined.
I believe the same coach leaves Edinburgh at 7am.

Whilst not agreeing with a lot of the changes the TOC’s and government are trying to implement (especially when it comes to job losses) there will come a day where every old person is very tech savvy, it’s progress unfortunately

When does it leave Manchester?

There is a flexi bus to Glasgow Sunday 2 am.Due to hotel prices I'm trying this out for the Forrest game.
Plan to stay in pub,something to eat and then get bus.Ish me luck..
Actually better than train if all goes to plan.
A lot better and more comfortable after Lancaster than the train.

Infrastructure,trains and all round safety may also have improved by then too.......but right now,our railways aren't fit,and any planned cuts will be detrimental to elements of society,and that is wholly unacceptable.

Introduce change properly and safely,and ensure welfare,not huge profit,is the priority - no one will have argument then.

Northern an other TOCs use a system called PCoding. Rather than ask staff if they want the OT to work a short shift they'd rather cancel services with 48 hours notice to Network Rail and bare minimum to passengers. It's cost them nothing in cancellation fees and they use the excuse "shortage of traincrew" to justify cancellation to the public.

It's a loophole to avoid paying heavy penalty fines for cancelling on the day.
