Neymar! Neymar! Neymar!

I honestly cannot believe there are people wanting to bring Neymar to the PL. He DOESN'T HAVE THE STRENGTH, AT ALL. he would be a rag doll vs even Norwich's defence. Shit even against Sheffield Wednesdays!

Strikers in this league that aren't strong flake out (UM ROBINHNO?)

Uncle Pele wont let him go to the Premier League, even he says it will be too disciplined, man marked and strong for him!

I would like to think he could adapt like Silva etc but i suppose we should get used to the fact he is going to be ripping our defence apart for either Barca, Madrid or either the Milans!

David Silva?

I hope next time you watch an international match you choose Brazil and watch Neymar take the piss out of what are supposed to be "strong" defenders.

I am from Argentina so i have a special interest in the brazilian game. And at the copa america Neymar was so shit I can't even begin to tell you. What international match were you watching? I can tell you that while he has great technical skill, he falls more than Suarez and Nani put together.

Silva has a very low center of gravity and is a footballing phenomenon. His touch is only behind one player in the world.

Not bothered about the rest but agree about Silva, if he had more goals in him he would be ahead of Ronaldo but still behind Messi in the world player of the year!

Have been told by an avid Dutch league follower that Vertonghen is not having a good season for Ajax either and has not repeated his great form from last season. He's playing in a league where one of our kids is among the top few strikers, is he really worth going all out for?
He is playing as well as he did last season. Still fantastic on the ball, still a deadly option on set pieces (both shooting and heading), still banging in goals, and still making those amazing pinpoint passes from the back. Something we have no one capable of doing at the moment. We really need this guy.

Why the resistance, baffles me. :?

I'm sure you called this guy the dutch version of David Luiz in the last transfer window. So seeing as Luiz as been to but it bluntly shite this season and to me he looks a bit rabbit in the headlights at the pace of the prem football I'd say it's not that baffling

What robinho lacked was character and guts not strength!!!! It has never been about strength it has always been about heart when it comes to these types of player. Loads of small and not strong players have been fantastic ( in eras when things were harder than today). Zola, georgi, juninho, silva, etc etc .

Neymar could easily make it if he has the personality, heart and commitment to play in the prem as he certainly has the talent.

Honestly the idea that you can't make the prem based on strength shows in my view a lack of understanding of football.

For me the best example was juninho- all 65 kilos off him, I met the guy and he would make a flat jockey look big. But he had skill and heart and made chumps of everyone who said he was too small

Neymar already has a deal signed with Barcelona. The Deal was made in Japan during the Club World Cup. Barcelona gave Santos €10m as a kind of deposit on Neymar and they can bring him to Barcelona anytime between now and 2014 for an undisclosed agreed fee. If Santos sell him to anyone else during that time, Santos have to pay Barca €20m compensation,

That's the story I heard on SSN also, but some on here are saying the Santos President is denying this now??
He won't come here anyway IMO, and personally don't want him here. Talented yes, but he would get smashed to pieces in the PL.
Yeah you get the feeling a player like Vidic would break him in half with a tackle

-- Tue Jan 03, 2012 4:00 am --

Yes, the guy has the ball skills of David Luiz, Yes! That said, the claim that David Luiz has been shite is laughable. He hasn't been great, but he has been pretty good. The weakness at Chelsea this season has been the RB position and the inconsistency of Terry and Cole. Not David Luiz.

Like I said, when this guy finally hits the Prem, we will see. I am just hoping it is with us at 10 million and not Arsenal.

Quite unlike the best player in the world, Messi, who was phenomenal. Or City's ponce best, Tevez, who was just unstoppable. I like how folks use the same competition in whicht the best player in the world looked shit, to judge an 19 year old.

Reminds me of how many didn't want Lavezzi coz he looked shit at Copa, but clearly ignoring the fact that our own talisman at the time, looked even shittier

Looks great sometimes but as much time he doesn't impress me.. I still think he could be another Robinho, another Brazilian wonderkind that won't make huge career in Europe

PS. when you look at Robinho's teams you could say he had great career but that's all but great and all but what was expected from him
Robinho was never a wonderkid. He's just another Brazlian footballer. Couldn't get in the Real team, then couldn't get in ours, now he's average at Milan.

Come on Dax there's no doubt with all the hype everyone was giving him Luiz as been at best average. He's gave a way 3 pens already should be 4, already been suspended for yellow cards and on my reckoning should have been sent off twice.I'd say he's been at fault for more goals than most who have played with him this season. If you call this pretty good then I'd like to hear who you thinks been shite.
I'm not saying he might not come good as you can see he has something but at the moment he can't get to grips with the speed of the prem.
If Cahill goes there then Luiz will be sitting on the sidelines most of the season I reckon as he's been that shite and doesn't look like improving just yet.
If you have a look around it's not just my veiw I'd say most think he's been shite and that goes for most pundits, well apart from ray wilkins who thinks David is a lovely young man.

I hope if we get Vertonghen he doesn't hit the prem like Luiz

Apparently we have offered 70 million euros for the guy.

Translation of headline

Neymar could go to Manchester City soon.

The days of us paying €70m for a player are gone for now anyway.

The difference however, is that Messi, Lavezzi, and Tevez have PROVED themselves (maybe Lavezzi not as much as he is acclaimed for). Neymar is doing pretty well in the brazillian league, but then again so was Robinho, so was Elano, so was fucking Jo

The argument we shouldn't go for someone unproven in Europe is the argument that will preclude us ever having the next Pele, Messi, ronaldo or ronaldinho. If he is good enough and his attitude is right he would make it - I don't know his play and personality well enough to comment

I dont know how to say this, but in Neymar, I see Silva like vision, Nasri Like movement, Gervihno like speed, and Ronaldo like dribbling.

Am I lying here? Look at those through balls. It doesn't matter if it is Brazil, Spain or England, that vision will not change. The space might be tighter but the players can't jump any higher.

Neymar is the next truth!

Tevez out NEYMAR IN
