The only goal on his CV that isn't against a B Side or team in the top 10 is against Germany. His goals include USA B-Sides, China, Iraq, Costa Rica.

The level of competition just isn't there.
And a couple against Argentina...

If it was that easy, every player would do it at international level.

Compare his international record to someone like C.Ronaldo. 38 goals in just over 100 caps, with 3 goals against Holland and 1 against Argentina being the only 4 goals he has against top sides.

Neymar is tearing up the international stage like no player has in a long time, simple as that.

Once again... Argie B sides. They play these friendlies for cash with mostly SA league players
Once again, explain to me why virtually no other player has scored internationally at that rate if it is so simple.

Saw this on twitter:

According to AS, statements in various Brazilian websites have claimed that Neymar is not interested in a move to Barcelona.

If this is true then woah but still. I'm starting to get the feeling that his transfer to Europe could be a long drawn out process this summer and possibly even next summer(think he moves this summer but still)

For what he'd cost we'd be better going for one of Bale, Suarez or Falcao. All better players and all proven in Europe.

I'd disagree for the fact that levy won't sell bale within the league and if u do ur delusional just look at the modric saga, suarez isn't leaving liverpool and honestly couldn't see them selling within the league either and falcao is a completely different player than neymar. Not to mention the majority of football ppl would make the case to u that neymar could and very well should end up being better than all 3 of them ever will be

I'd lose a bit of respect for him if he joined Barca to begin with.

Like LeBron James joining Dwayne Wade, for those who know what I mean.

Not on a commercial basis

If it's all about commercialisation, let's go and sign that **** Beckham.

Apparently he'll be in Barcelona on July 9th to work out terms of a deal. Starting to look more and more likely he's gonna move this summer.

Sport claiming Perez from Madrid is attempting to hijack the transfer and put in a 100m bid

Gonna be a long summer

TBH the few games i've seen this kid play i've not really been that overly impressed, certainly not 50m+ impressed. He obviously has mad skills and a eye for goal that's a given however he seems not yet to be able to read the game effectively enough and pick out the decisive pass, he is incredibly wasteful with the ball from what i've seen and disappears into the background. However he is young and definitely could (i stress could) strengthen his game and become the worlds greatest player. People say he is better suited to spanish football, that maybe true but for me that's exactly why he should come to england because if he can add that strength, grit and end product to his game he could be truly great.

But lets put aside the football and concentrate on the business of football on building our brand and following worldwide, he is the most marketable footballer in the world and would take our club to the next level it terms of sponsorship and worldwide supporters. He is one of only 5 players last year to earn over £20m (mainly from sponsorship) and his sponsors include Unilever, Red Bull, Panasonic, Nike and Banco Santander. Imagine if playing in Brazil he can earn this much through sponsorship how much he would earn in one of the big europe leagues. On footballing grounds i'm not convinced he will add to our club as much as other £50m+ players but on the marketing and global positioning of our club he would i believe be one of the most important players we ever sign and even £100m could turn out to be a wonderful bit of business in the long term of the club.

I'm sure our owners and spanish mafia will be working on this deal although i honestly cant see the kid ever picking manchester over spain but i'm sure they won't give up without a fight as he is undoubtably worth more to us than barca/madrid as for us he moves us to a different level for them he'd be theie second most important player behind messi/ronaldo. TBH just to see my club in the same sentence as madrid/barca is a dream come true and shows how far our club has come in such a short time, whether he comes or doesn't we are getting worldwide media exposure and growing the brand......happy days!

100m? Nobody's that insane.

Hope this is true, it would be good news for us on two fronts.
1.) We would possibly face less competition for some of our supposed top targets.
2.) Signing Neymar, could stop Madrid sniffing round Silva and Aguero.

another little update on his status from @barcastuff:

Santos player Neymar (21), whose contract expired in 2014, has informed Barcelona that he already would want to join them this summer. [ser]

also tweeted out a mundo deportivo article saying he could be announced as a barca player right after the season ends. seems pretty bang on for them at this point. gonna create a thread about this and their other transfers in the general section later when I get a minute

I was told a while ago he's likely to end up at Real, there's going to be some big money transfers around Europe this summer, that's for sure
