They don't seem to have international breaks in Brazil so whenever he's in the Brazil squad he's out of the Santos squad. They think Victor Andrade will be the next Neymar, he's already in Santos' first team at 16. Someone told me he is learning English and that we're on to him.

Interesting.... is that from a good source LC?

Someone who is associated with youth football. All he said is we'd had him watched and that the lad had been learning English, but yes he has signed a pro contract with Santos which would make signing him a lot more expensive now. But if he turns out as good as he looks he could be the next Neymar.

Scored two goals today, 1 penalty & 1 deflected shot.

He didn't impress me today at all.

Despite his 2 goals?

surely a sign of a decent player is one that doesnt play to his full potencial and score 2 goals, no ? or do we still need a Dickov that will run round for 90 mins and do bugger all ? (no offense dicky, one of the best moments of my life in 99)

Another Robinho is the thickest statement you hear about this player,do people say this just because he's Brazilian ,get him in he's class.

The English league has changed, teams like Stoke are more of an anomaly now and there are lots of footballing teams like Swansea, Southampton, West Brom, Wigan who play a nicer style that revolves less around thuggishness. Look at Oscar, he is as lightweight as they get and already making an impact. I'm sure Neymar would have some difficulties at first in games like Stoke and Everton away, but am convinced he could flourish here. But he'll be going to Spain I think.

I cannot see how one of the Spanish clubs can afford to pay upwards of 60m in the current Spanish crisis and their debt situation, Real and Barcelona have to sell to buy now, but who will leave?

Chelsea, PSG or us will try for him in my opinion.

Got a huge feeling that if Chelsea sign Paulinho to play alongside Ramirez in midfield and along with his very good friend in Oscar, they will be huge favourites to grab him in my opinion.

Brazilian Seria a ends in January and there is lots of talk that it will be this year Neymar finally moves to Europe as he has won everything going in Brazil and needs that next challemge to keep his developmemt going strong instead of getting complacent and too big headed in Brazil.

Neymar to Chelsea, Falcao to City or vice versa, could happen.

Yes, despite his two goals he was below average today.

Hazard is much better than him.

Disagree. I have watched Neymar alot and his goal scoring abilty is what sets him apart from Hazard.

Hazard is more of a direct dribbler knocking it past the opposition using his pace, he might throw the odd step over in here and there, Neymar is all flair and will use every trick going in the book.

I would argue that Neymar has better vison for a pass than Hazard from what I have seen and if has not scored a goal, I guarantee he is on the assists sheet.

What lets him down though is is size, Hazard has a good physique for a European creative player, Neymar is only 8 stone - once he puts some weight on he will be by far the superior player in my opinion.

No thanks Falco is better.

Yeah, but he is 7 years older and in his peak.

Falcao never scored the amount Neymar has when he played in South America at River Plate, plus, the Brazilian Seria A is a harder league to play in compared to the Argentine Primera Division.

Neymar is one of very few players to score 100 goals before he is 20, only Pele, Ronaldo, Maradona and Messi have managed that - I would not mind either but Neymar is clearly the more youthful option.

Neymar is an astonishingly talented player. Rips teams a new arsehole at leisure. Scores pure goals. Young and extremely 'commercial'. Devastating combination.

I think if the main heads at City had a choice they'd go for Neymar over Falcao. I know I would.

-- Wed Oct 17, 2012 10:45 pm --
