a couple of fullbacks....??

Thought we were only after Cucurella?

With Ake staying (I know he aint directly a fullback)do we really need another one at

Walker (RB)
Cancello RB and LB)
Stones (CB and RB)
Cucurella - if we get him (LB)
Ake (CB and LB)

3 that can play RB
3 that can play LB and you can even add Laporte to that as well so 4 in reality

Plus what has happened to the Brazillian lad who we signed and loaned out last summer that is a RB ?

(obviously not counting ZInch due to the strong rumours of going to Arsenal)

Dont get me wrong, Id be very happy to see us sign another fullback but it seems like a bit of an overload.

In big games we need naturals in a given position...if someone gets injured i don't fancy the idea of a CB covering at fullback.

Zinchenko made it work likely because of great coaching from pep...but we need two for every position.

Stones is as much of our RB as Walker is our goalkeeper.

Cucurella is the Mendy replacement. Zin would presumably be replaced in his own right. The idea was Zin and Cuc on the left Walker and Cancelo on the right. Key to having conventIonal full backs instead of inverted to help Haaland. 4 specialists not make do and mend. The idea being with orthodox wing backs they can whip crosses in rather than cut inside. If we were to play Cancelo (primarily tight footed) on the left it wouldn’t work and Haaland doesn’t get the first time cross.

Pretty sure that was the plan originally so we might start with three full backs and cover but probably not. Have to see.

Kabore loan is extended until 2023.Wilson-Esbrand will maybe get chance in preseason and if he impress Pep then he can be backup left back.

Big talent, it’s why everyone is flocking around him for his signature. I get if people like him and even the idea of coming to us, but to think this a city style move is beyond stupid

Do you think Kayky is as good as Neymar? If we’re a goal down at Anfield with 20 mins left who would you rather see come on, Kayky or Neymar? Honestly who’s most likely to turn that score around?

There are a small, very small, group of players with a public profile that means City would throw out the usual considerations of that "City style" approach. I'm not saying it's good or bad but I strongly disagree with the idea that it's stupid to think we'd be in for him.

We have offered contracts to Messi and Ronaldo in the last 2 seasons in a row.

If PSG are really offering him about, I've no doubt City will be in that conversation.

fully agree, out of messi, ronaldo and neymar

i have to say neymar makes more sense to me
