Raiders wow

Am a long, suffering Dolphins fan & even after our surprise demolition of the Niners, I was more shocked with the Raiders win over the Chiefs this weekend in KC.

It seemed you guys managed to complete the gameplan very few have done against the Chiefs i.e. keep Mahomes off the field & run the ball effectively against their D whilst chewing up clock.

That's my team. 4 - 0. Will be a good game.
I am not looking forward to it with the injuries we have.

Chubb (our best RB) will be unavailable. I guess there will be doubts about Teller (our best OL man this year), Ogunjobi (our second best DL man - we looked much weaker against the run after he left the field) and Greedy Williams will be unavailable. Jarvis Landry did not look right at the end of last night's game either, and I am not convinced Kareem Hunt is fully fit. Plus Mack Wilson is not up to speed yet and Delpit is out for the season.

That Claypole looked very good for the Steelers. I can see the Steelers killing us in the air next week and doing a job on our rush.

If the Steelers are looking for cap space, they are welcome to Sendejo and we take Minkah :)

Browns now 4-1 with their most impressive win yet over the very decent Colts. I’m getting dizzy!! Next weeks grudge-match derby at the Squealers should be a good one.

If we didn't physically fall apart, we may have won more convincingly.

How did you think Higgins went? Mayfield seems to find him when he is struggling to make a planned play.

I have 2 teams - Steelers and Packers. Both in a similar position, highly competitive with great franchise QB coming to the end of their career. Steelers used the draft to get a weapon - Chase Claypool is a 6ft+ WR that has all the physicality of a tight end but with pace and baller skills. He is a catching machine - exactly what you want on the less favoured route when your go to guy (JuJu) is in tight coverage. Gives the defence a big problem as he is so big and he can just pick out the little guy in a zone and wins the high ball every time. He is already killing it.

Green Bay used the top pick to get a QB and I don't think it does anything for them this year.

0 - 5 The Jets are shite. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Jets gunning for that 2021 No1 draft pick.

Yes, great result for you guys. Their D struggling so far.

Unbelievably our D held up in second half. Mainly because we were able to bring pressure with only a front 4 and take away their deep threat with more bodies back there. However we still need to score 30 points a game to have a chance! That said we’ve played Chiefs, Pats, Saints, Bills and Panthers all with winning records so it’s a more than satisfying start.

The 49ers made Fitzpatrick look like a clone of Joe Montana and Dan Marino.

I am Browns but I always had a small soft spot for the Chiefs due to Derrick Thomas and Christian Okoye.

I can see where you are coming from re Claypool. Looks a player. Just had a look at his details...240lbs and 6'4". Indeed, tight end size. You certainly have quality options at receiver.

As far as WRs picked up in the draft, from what I have seen, I also like Ceedee Lamb (Cowboys). Have not managed to see Jeudy yet.

Haha...that’s been Fitzpatrick or should I say Fitzmagic’s character throughout his rather long professional career.

The commentator summed him up quite well the other day stating Fitzpatrick gives both teams the best chance to win a game as he’s a very much a Jekyll & Hyde character performance wise week to week.

Always feel drafting a high pick RB or WR isn’t the best return on investment, as without the big guys blocking up front or a good QB they become less effective.

Since I subscribed to BT Sport last year, I watched quite a lot of college football games following LSU & Burrow’s remarkable National Championship success.

Claypool’s success doesn’t surprise me as he was a star receiver at Notre Dame but the college program didn’t get as much coverage as the SEC big hitters as Oklahoma & Alabama.

Will be interested on how Jeudy & Ruggs get along in the NFL since many have stated they could simply be a product of Nick Saban’s highly successful college program rather than individual talent.

Think Lamb will do well for the Cowboys, as he can catch anything when the ball is in the air.

Finally, think the Niners got a steal with drafting Brandon Aiyuk, as once again he went under the radar coming from a smaller college Arizona State.

Much like you am very intrigued on how this lot fare in the NFL, as I feel I have a vested interested after following them at a college level.
