You will only get so far without a high quality QB. Another aerial threat, in addition to McLaurin, would be useful too.

Maybe take a punt on Wentz.

You have a lot of cap space at the moment (estimated $50m) to play with.
Suspect that we will looking to draft a QB

Think that we will be looking to draft a QB rather than one such as Wentz. We should be able to pick up a receiver through free agency
We need to sign Schreff to a long term deal rather than keep him on the franchise tag and add a couple of linemen through the draft.

I picked the Miami Dolphins as my team at primary school. It’s been downhill all the way as it’s been 30+ years of rubbish.

We were meant to be firmly in transition this year but like City of old they build you up to eventually let you down in spectacular fashion.

I suppose there’s always next year.

Also my team from the first live game I watched on C4. Washington then Redskins v a team in almost sky blue....who else would I pick.

Close this season and put in some good performances for a change.

Oh to have a young Dan leading from QB

Wow the Redskins reach the play offs and Divisional title with a 7-9 record. Should have been a 10-6.
Tampa Bay Rags next up.
Rams v Seahawks should be a cracker.

Dolphins were unlucky this year. They finished 10 - 6 with the wild card slots going to 3x 11 - 5 teams. In the NFC the Bears got in with an 8 - 8.

Given the shift in QB mid season I think things are looking up. They just need a good draft and maybe the same results or one better will be enough to get in the post season or even win something if the Pats continue to decline.

Aside from the game last night most of the ones we lost were only by one score.

Tua has been hard to judge. There’s been some questionable play calling coupled with a guy having no preseason, having been out for a year before that and not really having any decent receivers to throw to.

Flores has done a good job though and there seems to be, for the first time in ages, a clear idea of how to play and getting the right players to fit that system... Looking forward, with a second year QB, the Texans first and second round picks plus a bunch of cap space we might challenge for the division if we can get an offence with some weapons. Buffalo looks to be a tough side to beat though, before factoring in a potentially rejuvenated Patriots.

Anyway, roll on the new season.

I haven't seen any collage football this season. With empty stadiums and some players opting to sit out the year it must have been a strange one. The draft options will be interesting - is it more difficult to pick of the back of a year like that? I would guess so.

Kicks off today.

On field - it should be a great season. The Patriots era looks to be over - they have picked up Cam Newton who i really like but no one likes the pats. They might struggle. The Chiefs sneaked up on everyone last year - can they do it again now everyone knows how good they are? Joe Burrow at Cincinnati will be very interesting. Ravens will be good again - meaning one of my teams the Steelers might be in a tough divison (with the Ravens, Browns and Cincinnati). I also follow the Packers and they have a question mark at QB having picked up Jordan Love in the draft - but I think Rodgers will take it the right way and he should lead them into the play offs - this could be his last chance.

My Predictions:

AFC winners - Chiefs to beat Ravens
NFC winners - 49ers to beat Saints (The NFC looks much weaker than the AFC - this could go many ways)

Superbowl - Chiefs.

A quick revisit of my predictions given the regular season is over.

I was right about the Pats (no one likes them).
I was very wrong about the 49ers.

I watched the Buffalo game yesterday since I needed them to win and oh my goodness that’s not decent owl that’s a superb owl. I’m convinced they’ll go all the way and they’ll smash the Colts on Saturday, unfortunately.
