NFL 2023-24

I’m only a bandwagon 9ers fan so I wouldn’t have minded the Lions going through since Goff went to high school ten minutes from my house and it’s been so long for them. Think you’ve gotta take the FG on 4th and 4 when you’re two scores down even if your modus operandi is to be aggressive. Good playoff games though, nearly all of them. Hopefully SB is as good.

Well. That was a game of two halves. I was hoping Detroit would pull it off.
At least in the first game the Ratbirds shit the bed, as usual. I’m thoroughly bored with KC, so will be rooting for the 49ers in the final.

OMG just watched the Chiefs extended highlights.

That play by Sneed to punch the ball on the goal line was incredible.
Flowers should not have given him the opportunity and should have held tight and got a first and goal at the one but nevertheless I agree. Baltimores lack of discipline cost them dearly in the end

Flowers gave away that bonehead penalty a few plays before, then arguably should have settled for the 1st down from the 1 yard line. Certainly the penalty cost them at a crucial moment in the game.

Glad I went to bed at half time. Hard to criticize Campbell as he’s been amazing for the Lions, but if you’re going go for it on 4th down and turn down field goals, it’s going to cost you eventually if you don’t make them.

Amazing season for the lions and first time I have really enjoyed watching them throughout a full season. Young core of players as well so hopefully not a one season wonder.

Four of the last five Super Bowls for Kansas City and but for a Bengal recovery and a missed catch in overtime, they’d probably have been in 5 out of 5. Some even consider this a weak incarnation of a Chiefs side, so if they win the Super Bowl again and strengthen, who in the AFC can stop them?

It would have been a very long field goal and the aggressive 4th down got them where they were.

That said, two TDs in a minute to tie up the game right after HT was such a massive momentum swing, it felt inevitable that it would end up being a Niners day.

Wanted the Lions to win it all, even though they’re in the same division as the Bears & Packers. That said, I’ll be pulling for the 49ers now.

Their QB, Purdy, was a 7th Round Draft Pick. During the tryouts, his QB numbers were excellent, but there is a fairly new, quiet, “QB IQ Test” that he flunked. Teams then thought he didn’t have the head for it.

As he settled in at SF, in one of his interviews he was asked about the QB IQ Test. “I’m not a very good test taker!” was his reply. Haha!

Just like that, he’s in the Super Bowl as the lowest pick QB in the playoffs this year!
