Worse passing than Fernando? Give over.
Fernando can't pass forward. Backwards, Sideways yes - NEVER forwards beyond 5 yards. He also doesn't push into space in front of him when it is offered.
This guy is Leicester's best passer! He finds Mahrez, Vardy and others up front as they are breaking into space. He also pushes into space if it is offered.
In short a major upgrade on Fernando.

Agreed, whenever I've watched Kante his passing has been spot on. Not saying he'd be a perfect fit for us but comparing him to Fernando in that respect is laughable.
 
If you want to compare Kante and Fernando it's easy, would Leicester still be at the top of the league had they played the whole season with Fernando starting instead of Kante? I personally don't think so.
 
Ngolo Kante is an inferior version of Iddrissa Gueye. He is just having a purple patch season along with all his mates at Leicester. They are all on a confidence high. All of them. From Mahrez to Vardy to Albrighton all down to Kante.

Let's see them pull this off 2 years in a row. I hope they all stay together. I will bet a week's pay check they don't make the to 6 next year with the same crew. They've been fabulous this season. I get that, and they all deserve the call ups and accolades they are getting.

Kante is a tackler. A high energy no nonsense player who is decent in the open field on a counter attacking team. His team is Chuck full with runners and dribblers. Yes, this causes commotion for the opposition and creates the space JKante often passes into. But pay attention to Drinkwater, Albrighton and Fuchs. Those are the true technicians on the squad. Vardy brings immense pace, Mahrez skill, and Kante brings bite. It all fits well and snowballed into a storm.

Take out Fernando and add Kante and we'll be exactly where we are. Lose a little more possession and make a few more tackles.

And if we feel so aggrieved and we think an intense tackler is such a need, get Gueye. He is the better footballer.

Albeit most would probably moan about his possesion ability.

Mahrez is unbelievable on the ball and has a good left foot but he lacks the brains of someone like de bruyne. Psg will be after him me thinks
 
Say what you will about Ferguson, but it says something that he thinks Kante has been the league's best player this season. If you've watched Leicester play, you'll see how good he is off the ball, recovering it and playing crucial passes to keep the counter-attacking going at pace.

He is wrong.He is not the best player at his club, Mahrez is. So how can he be the best in the league? Again, I'll repeat, Idrissa Gueye is a better footballer at what it is Kante is supposedly good at. And Imbula is far superior to those 2.
 
I think he's absolutely brilliant. I think it was the game against Arsenal, the guy was out of this world. Don't think I've seen a defensive midfielder play better than that.

Sign 'im up please.
 
With all of the money sloshing about in the PL, any attempt to buy a player from another PL club is likely to be very difficult, very expensive and very time consuming. A 31 August signing. I think we should only target PL players if they are superstars or help with the quotas.
 
Leicester fans will tell you he is their most important player, just like Makalele was in his day for Chelsea.
Never stops running and hassling and he can pass a ball.
The guy is a freak of nature.

English fans often think their DM is their most important player if he is any good. Which he is for them.
But he is a good player on a team playing great. Sadly, they'd get broken up after the season coz this is an opportunity for lots of them to go make great money. But most would fail at top clubs. Let's just sit back and see. It wouldn't be long now before the post purple patch results start coming in.

If they all stay, I can guarantee they'll be mid table next season. But I doubt they would. The ones who leave will mostly be found to be purple patch myths. Including Tiote... I mean Kante
 
Only just seen the bit on his Wiki page about him insisting that Lassana Diarra is his role model rather than Makalele. That makes a lot of sense with regards to their all action styles of play and I've been a big fan of Diarra since he first showed up at Chelsea.

A stupidly talented player who has never realised his full potential; if Kante can combine that talent with Makalele's professionalism and intelligence, he'll continue to improve for many seasons to come.

You may well be right in your purple patch assertion. After all, Vardy couldn't make the starting 11 the previous season could he!
Nevertheless Kante has got some engine in him...I think he would disrupt play against anybody given a chance.
He clearly fits into Leicester's style of play and there is absolutely no guarantee he would turn out to be a good signing for us but you have to admire his energy.
 
Hopefully Pep signs him to play the role Vidal plays for Bayern.

Unbelievable engine, pressing machine and a good passer. That type of player in a midfield trio with two players who are brilliant technically (Weigl & Pogba) is the dream.
