NHS Pay Award,letter to Johnson from my union,please sign if you can

Why is 2k the magic number? It's awful nurses don't earn enough, and firemen, and those in the types of jobs where any normal person would have to be insane to do them.
The way things work, the NHS staff should ask for 5k more, then they might actually get 2..

Nurses/doctors earn significantly more than the living wage while millions struggle on the minimum wage. Who is the most deserving? The country has to pay these wages and we are walking into economic oblivion, the well will run dry very soon!

are these very low paid workers employed by the government? the answer is no
are you arguing that because the private sector is screwing over the poor means its ok for the government to screw over the health workers?

they are not transparent at all. for example they cant even say what the 37 billion given to dido harding to set up the test and trace system was spent on and why there isnt a functioning test and trace system

all the unions say
if they give the entire nhs staff a 15% rise
it would cost roughly 4.5 billion
nowt really,like when you say,the 37 ,i heard 38 billion that has been spunked up a wall the last year with track and trace

nurses earn average money at best

average wage of 21 year old in uk is 20,800 rising to 28,100 by the age of 29
nurses wage on qualification 22,000. average age of a student nurse is 29

£24,907 is the lowest wage for a qualified nurse.

like i have previously said

meet my mrs ,who worked on ITU for 14 months
she is BAME,she is an immigrant
she, and me were scared shitless last year both working in our local hospital,worried about our son
who had to attend school when we were both rotored in,increasing his chances of contracting covid
she saw her best friend who worked with her die,she caught covid and was dead within 3 weeks
she saw families distraught every single day
incorrect PPE in the beginning
i could go on and on and on

she did all of that for £9.20 per hour on 12 hour shifts

for your first point
they are not more deserving, its just that they are employed by us, the people via our elected representatives, so we get a say in how they are paid.
most of the lowest paid workers are employed in the private sector, so we dont get a say in what they are paid.
the only way we can effect change for the private sector employees is to vote for representatives who want to increase the minimum wage. i am up for that and do so at every election.
to reach the level of newly qualified nurses you would need to raise the minimum wage from 8.71 to 10.71
happy to support that

for the second point
to pay for government employees, then the government needs to raise more money, thats higher taxes.
as a higher rate taxpayer i am more than happy to pay more tax to fund public sector pay rises.

to pay for private sector pay rises then companies would have to increase the costs of their goods and services

when i looked it up it said 22,000 from the Royal college of nursing, but ok i might be wrong
