NHS Pay Award, letter to Johnson from my union, please sign if you can

I've no axe to grind with NHS workers, but why are they seen as more deserving than others who are earning fuck all in comparison. Who pays for this pay rise?
You could've fooled me, I'm on £9.89 an hour and I and my NHS work colleges have worked all the way through this shit fest (apart from when I was off April last year with Covid) I know you're probably on a wind up but you're really starting to boil my piss.

when i looked it up it said 22,000 from the Royal college of nursing, but ok i might be wrong
In 2017 it was, you need to check the date. I have nurses in my family, one is a Modern Matron on a good wage. Like I said earlier I'm not against them getting a pay rise by any means but it isn't that bad a wage.

The scanadal really is the fees etc to train these days, 10/20 years ago you got decent money to qualify and the wages were increased a lot under Gordon Brown. Then there was a problem with too many passing diplomas for qualified jobs, and now it is the opposite again. There are good promotion oppertunities and it is a decent career path in my opinion. Some people fly up the bands.

i'm off to sleep
another eight hour shift tomorrow

Many industries have worked through the pandemic and wont be getting a pay rise either.

Wages within the NHS can be poor or brilliant depending on your role.

My advice, you don't like your terms and conditions or the job you applied for...then find another that suits better.

Dealt with the sudden death of a 1 year old baby tonight after cardiac arrest. Awful. Been in hospital all night with paramedics to A&E staff to consultant paediatricians. The work of everyone there is unimaginable, and incredible. A&E was like a zoo with morons there. Around all that they were dealing with this and other genuine emergencies coming in constantly. Anyone who doesnt get it is a ****, so just ignore them.

Horribly sad and unenviable, and thankfully something 99% of folk never have to witness or deal with. That sort of episode never leaves you.
