. The biggest problem has been the siting of the tesco store, which has made the traffic a nightmare, all bus services have to pass the store, this was on tesco`s terms. So the 53 now has to go up Gorton lane past the tesco to get to belle vue. Instead of sraight up belle vue street. Twats.[/quote]

The South West. Much cheaper than the south east, better weather than the north, low crime, nice villages, Bath is beautiful but expensive, nice people, relaxed lifestyle.

Get yourself a place in the countryside down there - more land, more bang for your buck, none of the modern day city problems like overpopulation, immigration, chavs, crime, terrorist threats etc.

Only problem - 400 mile round trip to the Etihad (nearly wrote Maine Road).

In my opinion Watford, Herts is pretty much the perfect English large town. Very close to London yet relatively low crime and the same distance out as places in Surrey for a fraction of the cost. Big enough to have all the amenities you could ever need yet not big enough to get lost in. Great airport access.

Okay there's nothing whatsoever 'idyllic' about the place and that's why I'll probably draw some laughs here - but if we're just being practical and talking about decent locations I'd say it's up there.

N.Ireland mate...cheap as chips and now they got rid of that stupid semtex business...stunning countryside and education etc is more bang for your buck than anywhere in the UK...great place to live now
