You would be surprised at the latest DNA results on the British population, there is actually a lot more Celtic and genes from the race that proceeded them here than Saxon, Viking, Norman, Roman or any of the other population influxes, it has put paid to the myth that the British are a mongrel race. It turns out that in terms of DNA the British have stayed the same for 1000's of years.

So who would be considered native British people?

This site tells you quite a lot about the latest research

Interesting, but that suggests that the native population in this country is still dominant. That cannot be said to be the case in Australia or America where the native population has been decimated.

If you live outside the EU and want residence here you have to go through stringent checks.
Any thieving, begging non english speaking knacker is welcome as long as your in the EU.
Doctors or any other professional person from Africa, Asia or anywhere are getting turned away when some potless tramp from 'europe' can bring his whole family and their friends and take the piss.
This is why the gutless BNP are getting votes.
Immigration, Immigration, Immigration

True but it is a question of scale, the native populations of America and Australia were comparatively small, in my earlier post I pointed out that the situation of native populations being wiped out is not unusual if you look at history

Yes I agree. I still think it is impossible to point to a group of people in this country who should be considered the native population, due to the fact that so many different groups of people have lived here for such a long time. Although I haven't reseached my geneaology, my surname is definitely Nordic. It is possible there are black people who could show their family has been in Britain longer than mine has. But, the BNP would probably consider me to be more British because I happen to be white.

There have been black people in this country even before slavery, and after slavery was abolished it was never a problem, there were black sea men in Nelsons navy, apparently there was little racism because society was different, people were not so fixed in their jobs and a hell of a lot more self reliant, everyone was in the same boat so skin colour was not important.

having read that interesting article (the British are pretty much all Basque), I found this on that site:

http://www.prospectmagazine.co.uk/2009/10/why-we-should-laugh-at-the-bnp/

I found this resonated with me...

To be fair, it’s not easy interviewing Nick Griffin. I found it difficult to get him to say anything that was explicitly racist, though most of it was casually vile. At the end of our chat, I asked him if he ever became prime minister, he would let me stay in the country. “But you’re British,” he said. “Of course you could.” When I told him I was American and probably of mixed racial ancestry, he seemed flustered and replied that it was obvious that I had “culturally assimilated,” so my staying wouldn’t be a problem. I had to laugh. And when I laughed, that was the only minute that he seemed genuinely thrown.

My Mum is German, My dad is Polish with a German Passport. He fought with the Polish Free Army in the west during WW2 and was demobbed in Manchester after the war. I was born in Hope hospital in the early 70s.

So when it comes down to it, if the BNP ever made policy, would I be repatriated? where to?
Would my dad, who fought under a British high command? who worked his arse off, paid his taxes and NI contributions, and has only the bog standard state pension?

At that time, there wasn't the numbers in the country which are now taking it over. If Nelson could see this country now, he would be spinning in his grave.

So why is it politically correct to call them "australian aboriginees" when they're actually just immigrants from south-east asia? Or to call them "native americans" when in fact they're immigrants from siberia?
Heres a crazy idea danny try backing up your oh so witty sound bites with facts?
Surely the point is that native Australians and Americans were living in their respective 'countries' and minding their own business. Then a bunch of European people turned up with vastly superior weapons and forced them off their land. I don't see that happening in Britain.

You cannot really compare the history of Britain with the histories of Australia and America. It's just not the same thing at all. We have always had influxes of people from all over the world and interbreeding has occurred to such an extent that it is now impossible to tell who the 'native' people of Britain are.

were you off schoo' when they did the Romans ?

The most recent statistics i can find put ethnic minorities in this country at 7.9%...you're right, its an invasion.

Just how low would you like it to be? Just the few from ADUG who have ensured the growth of our Manchester City?
