Christ, the absence of Bobb has grown him into some mythical god like player in people's minds. By next week he will be Messi!!!

He's played about 5 minutes football and shown some nice touches. That's it.

Although I get what you're saying and even mostly agree, that there's a need to calm down with kids in general.

We have missed what he can bring and he was clearly our best player in pre season, he looked like he was bringing that form into this season before the leg break too.
None of that means he's already elite or that he wouldn't potentially have suffered a slump in form, like most in the squad have but he possesses noticeable qualities that we've sadly lacked.

For me it's quite obvious to see somebody with Oscar Bobb's best attributes, they would've been a massive help to us this season during the time he's been out.

His possession retaining and ability to dribble in tight spaces would either win us free kicks higher up the pitch or help us advance our attacks, plus his ability to make one touch/one two passes while putting passes into channels of space is better than what most our players have shown.
These things would've made him a valuable asset for our squad out wide where we've lacked depth, as we've had to rely far too much on Savinho and Doku at the same time due to injuries.

I think Ideally only one of Savinho/Doku our more direct wingers would've played at a time had all our wide men been fit this season, with Grealish or Bobb acting as carriers who help keep the possession ticking over on the opposite side of Savinho/Doku.
Both Grealish and Bobb would've if available been able to help us keep the ball further up the pitch, meaning less chance of being countered and they're also more likely to track back but they've sadly been out.

Oscar Bobb can also be direct or move inside to momentarily cover for a runner from deep something Savinho or Doku won't, he's someone who can help us keep possession while also able being a willing worker tracking back, he's an intelligent mature player for his age it's for that reason he'd have been used often this season.

I was singing his praises a very long time ago on here and when McAtee didn't win the academy player of the year ahead of Bobb, most were flummoxed because they wasn't actually noticing Oscar Bobb's qualities.

He's not a mythical Messi type figure it's just obvious that we've missed certain attributes that he could bring to the team, he's a very unselfish player who can help us keep possession further up the pitch, while also helping bring other players into the game due to his ball carrying ability.

I'm not sure I've seen anybody on here or elsewhere say he's world class or owt but if they have then they're off their heads, mainly what I've seen is people bemoaning the fact he's been missing and was in good form at the time of his injury.

The fact Porto are negotiating with us and haven’t just immediately shut the door and insist on the release clause is a good sign imo. Confident we get this done

Haha like when Kane's brother promised we could get him for cheaper.
yep, gut feeling is someone has said something similar with this kid. We'll find out whos serious soon enough. I cant work out math on whats better for Porto on the 'buying out the 20%' bit.
