Nicolas Gaitan

He claims to be Spursmad.

Spursmad's supposed connection to City was one of Hughes's back room staff so how would he know about anything that is happening at City at the moment?

Didn't this Tweeter alleging to be Spursmad say we'd break the British transfer record not once, but twice this summer?

Where is that "Twitter nonsense" thread again...

Here's a name I've not heard in a year or two. Assuming his progress stalled as doesn't look like he's the star that was hyped of him when he was set to join the rags

Reports from Portugal that we've opened talks to sign him, with Txiki seeking a left-sided equivalent to Navas (pace, direct style). Gaitan can dribble too. €45m buyout is far too high obviously but his contract has 2 years less so maybe he could be signed for less. If not, then we may as well get Reus for similar price.

That's Nasri off, then?

Always rated gaitan, him and salvio are quality wide players

I could see the squad sustaining both, because our left side is pretty weak, especially since Scott Sinclair turned out to be... well, Scott Sinclair. We've been missing another left-sided attacker for a while (Balotelli could also play out there) and Jovetic is better in the centre. Wouldn't be good for Lopes' immediate chances though, as this seemed one of the few potential openings for him into the first team squad.

In my opinion and the way we play Reus would make us the complete package, he should be a primary target.

I'd love Reus here, but we seem to have an allergy to the Bundesliga since we signed Dzeko!
