I have no idea what NDJ and Silva are currently paid but they should be earning at least 125K and 175K respectively in my view. If they refuse those amounts, I would be disappointed. We really need both players to stay as continuity is very important.

ndj is going - i'll take anyones money on that!!!

Who do we have to replace him though, that's the question - and it can't be Rodwell.

If by some miracle we get De Rossi then NDJ can go I guess. But I do not think he is coming, so lets leave the midfield alone, its okay as it is.
It isn't though is it which is why we're after De Rossi.

To pay De Jong more than 100k is absolutely crazy.. Hard working midfielder... Cost us the game against Belgium with a stupid mistake

so DDR's not coming ... then why didn't de jong feature on sunday. it makes no sense unless he's going — which means we have a replacement lined up.

De Jong is gone before this window closes. He wants daft money and is in the last year of his deal, he wont be signing another one. Take the £7 million we still have Barry, Milner and Rodwell to play there.

Yep we were after De Rossi to add different dimension to our midfield instead of Barry of course. NDJ could leave too.

Now DDR is not coming, what will happen 10 days to go in the market....

Strap ourselves in as this will be a bumpy ride.

Imo Rodwell is his replacement.

if that is the case then we will be a lot more vulnerable....rodwell brings things to the team that de jong doesnt have BUT from a pure defensive point, dejong is a much better player

Keep him. He is worth more to us over the coming season than the relatively small transfer fee we would get for him now, in relation to his true value. He still has a big part to play for us, starting at Anfield on Sunday, when he should definitely start

fully agree

Inter is close to get Gargano from Napoli loan+option to buy later.

Lot cheaper than NDJ, smaller wages also, and same position too.

Didnt really hear many teams that are interested in NDJ only Inter.

Surely he wont leave unless we buy someone very good. He will be vital for CL games, he understands where to be and he collects the ball from the back 4 and gives it very well to. His experiance is vital, we can be left with rodwell, barry and yaya.

Nigel free'd up Yaya to score the vital goal at Newcastle as well playing a pivotal pass in the 3-2! He's a blue and always will be. I hope he stays.

I love De Jong but if he was as attached to the club as he makes it seem, he wouldn't have turned down a contract offer to make him the best paid defensive midfielder in the world. Greed seems to be an epidemic in football now, even amongst the most likeable players.

Edit: Actually, according to this he's already the best paid DM in the world before City's offer of a better contract. <a class="postlink" href="http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/sport/football/manchester_city/s/1584716_manchester-city-life-just-right-for-nigel-de-jong" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://menmedia.co.uk/manchesterevening ... el-de-jong</a>

Who knows... We were all so willing to blame Kia for Tevez's incident...

If he is a blue he would sign the new contract - simple fact he aint signing because he values himself higher than we are prepared to pay - he knows full well he can sit on his existing contract and go for a free next summer yes he may get lesser wagers but he would get a super fookin duper signing on fee which would compensate

He should play on the weekend and i fully expect him to do so but after that game he must sign or be sold. We have two players whom are sat with 12 months left on their contract - Kolo and DJ, this time next year we will have Tevez on 12 months and i cant see him signing a new contract and the nightmare of nightmares potentially Silva - that is potentially 4 new players and possibly more - based on this years window to date do you think we could find equal quality in a single transfer window based upon this one - i dont

We need to manage the team, players ocme and go, and common sense tells you that players with 12 months left to go are sold if at all possible
