Nike to make Kits

Nike shirts are an even tighter fit than Umbro's.

I'm a right chubby 50 something that's gonna have to lose even more weight and work a lot bloody harder on my gut to get in them.

They forget most of us fans are pie-eating beer kegs and not highley paid athletes!

Upto £12mil a year, how does that stack up against the other teams in the league?

Doesn't seem much on the face of it?

From next season Liverpool's will be £26m a season.

Umbro's distribution is poor. As a blue living in the USA the move to Nike is welcome, since the latest kit will be easily available and not with the ridiculous imported price that comes with Umbro kit over here. I prefer Umbro designs (with the exception of this season's home kit) but Nike will mean we'll have people all over the world wearing City shirts within 5 years.

I think they are all guessing but I would seriously doubt that City would accept £12m pa. City are a huge worldwide story and will continue to get bigger and bigger.

Anyone think about how the emblem on the recent Umbro shirts has looked impeccable? ...they look like the kind of embroidery done on military parade uniforms or royal garments. I love how they're raised and textured rather than being flat. Hope Nike don't just slap a flat patch on it and call it a day - that'll look cheap and chaff.

Along as it still has the same kind of material that our Umbro ones have used im ok with it. The last 3 years have seen the best kits in a LONG time.

The rag and Barca shirts are worrying for us. Looks like some little kid was experimenting with MS Paint.

We should demand that the Umbro team be brought over to advise on our kits. Those look utterly ridiculous and embarrassing.

Wow these are all really nice, I like the two tone. I like Umbro but as a Blue in America its tough to buy them locally. CTID :) So Excited for Sunday
