Nine years ago today - FA Cup semi-final against United

one of the best games I’ve ever been too. We were the loudest set of fans new Wembley has seen. Miles louder then say villa fans

saw one united coach from Wolverhampton on the way there

What a fantastic day. Someone on here (you know who are!) sorted me out with a ticket for the game. Looked grim early on (still not sure how Berbatov missed that chance), but we grew into the game and were the better side after 30-40 minute mark. And when Yaya scored, it was pure mayhem up behind that giant scoreboard. A marker was put down that day. Our first Wembley appearance in 12 years (?), and in the 9 years since then, we've been there how many times; 14, is it (not counting Spurs' league games)?

My best ever experience as a Blue. After the final whistle, I just knew the future was bright from then on. A new dawn, so to speak.

The mood was amazing. All Blued in great spirits, determined to enjoy the game and day out. After the game Blues grinning from ear to ear, a look of joy and disbelief on their faces, jumping up and down, celebrating with strangers. The complete opposite to the the 2013 Final (not just after the game but before and during too).

What a day.
Few more highlights.

Actually prefer this coverage to the official City website or video. I know Martin Tyler isn't everyone's cup of tea, he isn't mine, but the way that City commentator pronounces Toure's name and the same can be said of the many times he says Aguero's name on other highlights. It really grates on me.

They never really recovered from the hole we put in their starboard portside that day.

Got whacked by some Rag **** when I wasn’t looking on Wembley way.

Cant believe how many times I was called a “northern ****” and a “Manc ****” that day too, by the filth.

I’ll never forget “the Peckham boys” on WW kicking off.

It dawned on me they’re more of a London club than Manchester.

I reckon the celebration at that goal was 3rd only to Agueroooo 93:20, in terms of sheer madness, and maybe the 2007 Geovanni goal in the Derby, when I ended up several rows away from my actual seat.
