The only reason I have been annoyed with our players getting banned for acts of petulance was because I know that others have escaped bans for similar.
In the weeks before SWP got a 3 match ban for a soft kick out at a play, Ronaldo had done it twice and not been charged.
Can't complain about a rule that is applied equally to all.

Only bizarre if its your local rival.Wonder if it had been say a Swansea player on a Bournemouth player,would this thread have even started ?Well the uproar would have been wrong too. You simply cannot kick out (twice) at a player, when the ball is nowhere near, and not expect a red. Bizarre.

Probably not but that would have been because no-one would care. Neither the status of the game or the teams involved should have any impact on the decision, just the laws of the game. And going by the laws of the game, and how they are applied in all other circumstances, its a red.

I can guarantee had Shaun been sent of for that offence the uproar on here could have been heard in Iceland.
Oakie when Sergio flung his elbow there were a great many who called him out on it big time on here and said he had whatever ban was coming his way.
